The hotel is right on the marina with many restaurants and bars surrounding it. The interior is very modern and contempory. Our room was very clean and very comfortable with an excellent power shower. Parking is free but across the marina in a multi storey. Breakfast was good and included in the very reasonable price. The staff were very helpful.... more

OK - I admit it, I'm a sentimental mug. Back in May 2003 when the Seattle had only been open a few months, I took my fiance to this hotel for a surprise weekend break and proposed to her. She said 'yes' and since then we've returned every year and even spent part of our honeymoon here. However, this year... more

Having read several reviews on this hotel I was prepared for it. We did everything right, booked well in advance, made sure we had a balcony room overlooking the harbour, but it still did not prepare me for one of the strangest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in !! On a plus side , the room and bathroom were... more

We had our wedding reception at the Seattle in October 2007 - a smallish family affair for 24 people who's ages ranged from 3 weeks to 76 years old. I cannot recommend the Seattle highly enough. Everything was fantastic! From the staff ,discreetly on hand with wonderful canapes at the beginning of our reception, to the beautifully presented delicious 5... more

We booked a standard 'inland view' room with lastminute, and when we arrived at the hotel we were upgraded to a marina view free of charge, which was very nice. The man at reception was very pleasant, although very laid back. The reception itself is up a flight of stairs between and behind the restaurants, which is a bit unusual.... more

I booked my wedding two years ago and they write to me weeks before the event to let me know they're planning a major refurbishment during my wedding. They are trying to get out of this by offering me an alternative which is totally unsuitable and a far far cry from the wedding of my dreams. The management team are... more

Stayed here for a wedding. Been to many Alias & Hotel Du Vin hotels - have to say the staff here let it down. Insisted to the staff that the bed was not right. they cam, they checked...nothing. 2nd sleepless night....why ? Checked in the morning, all the slats on the bed where upside down, so it was Convex -... more

We have stayed at the Seattle on a number of occasions since it first opened both as a couple and also with friends and family and have always received excellent service and enjoyed our stays there immensely - enough to go back a number of times and also to confidently recommend it to friends and family who have also booked... more

This weekend we ventured with friends to a wet and windy Brighton. This is not the first time we have stayed at the Seattle and not the first time we have experienced this problem. On arriving we were greated by extremely helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is extremely relaxing, bright and airy with a wonderful chill out bar area.... more

The Seattle is in an excellent location - if your room is sea facing, otherwise it faces Asda, a car park and has a noisy nightclub underneath it for inland facing rooms. The ambience and service is fine, although at times I had to ask reception two or three times for the same thing. Food and drink are mostly good.... more
