The Market Inn is in a great central location. The room is lovely and clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is served in the room and definitely hit the spot! Additionally the staff are very friendly and attentive. Yes there is some noise both internally (people moving around etc) and externally (late night revellers passing by/buskers) but this didn't really affect... More

Typical British pub, with a good selection of beers,on pump, unpretentious menu for a change not the usual arty overpriced clap trap a lot of pubs have these days, just honest food, for a fair price,I had the home-made burger with blue cheese on top one of the best burgers I have tasted in Brighton, that puts to shame the so called specialist burger joints... Popped in when shopping. A great welcome. Traditional pub feel and good inexpensive pub grub. We had great fish and chips. A bottle of wine I think it was about £11 which is really v reasonable. It is dog friendly which is unusual for the centre of Brighton. To be recommended.

My partner and I stayed here for a few nights and loved the location. You are bang in the Lanes and next to all the bars and shops. The pub itself is lovely and have an happy hour on pints of beer and real ales. The food looked good and popular and had daily specials on the board. Our room... More

Fairly standard pub-type double room accommodation with customary features such as en-suite bathroom (small sized) with basic toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. Nice add-ons were complimentary bottled water and availability of free WiFi. The rooms (only 2) are located above the pub but conveniently there is also an independent access door onto the street. The stay... More

This pub situated in the Laines is an ideal base for Brighton City centre. With only two double rooms available above the bar, and overlooking the street some noise was inevitable, but not enough to disturb us. The rooms are large, with a decent enough ensuite and plenty of hot water for showers. Breakfast is served in your room, and... More

Location is the best in Brighton. Right in the heart of the Lanes. Our Room was excellent overlooking the Lanes, you could hear the pleasurable sounds of everyone enjoying a drink outside (nothing rowdy just the hum of conversation and laughter) and the amazing smells from nearby restaurants. The Room was very nice and the bed very comfortable and we... More

Stopped in here yesterday, they wanted to charge me almost eight pounds for two soft drinks! (this is a pub in a back street - not some trendy bar or sea front establishment), needless to say I walked out without said drinks. I had the same round of coke and oj with lemonade in two other Brighton pubs over the... More

Good honest tavern with some nice beers. The bar staff are really friendly and will make sure you are happy and looked after. The location is good, right off the Lanes, they don't do late drinks but its a great place to meet up with a group!

My husband & I had a great couple of nights here last weekend. Fantastic, friendly service, room was large, bright & comfy. Can't fault breakfast, it was fab and served in our room which we thought was nice and relaxing. Pub has the best location, bang in the middle of everything - would recommend and will definitely be staying again.
