Terrible hotel. Room was Ok, except for noise by a busy dual carriageway, but bathroom was dangerous, shower curtain not in right place and wrapped itself around me, water sprayed everywhere. Breakfast was tasteless. Staff made no effort to compensate. For the price it was really poor. Avoid this hotel like the plague.

My husband and I spent two nights at the Market Inn and have enjoyed our stay. The room is a good size with a comfy bed and lovely big window, so lots of natural light which is always nice. It was a little noisy during the night with people down in the lanes but that is to be expected when... More

Not a 5 star establishment, but if you are looking for a comfortable and reasonably priced B & B right on the edge of the Laines, then this is it! Only 2 en-suite bedrooms over the bar (don’t worry, didn’t hear a thing!) with a pre-ordered full breakfast served at the time you want in your room. Really sets you... More

So after running the Brighton half marathon yestersday, myself and 3 friends were looking for a nice pub to get a decent meal and a few drinks to celebrate completing the race. We went to 3 pubs prior to this one and all were too full and we didnt want to wait, so when we walked into the Market Inn... More

I stayed for 2 nights in this charming place and thoroughly enjoyed my stay, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the general atmosphere of the place was just what I was looking for! Brighton has many places to stay but sadly many of them are bland, corporate hotels with the same feel about them, the Market Inn is... More

I am a business manager for one of the counties largest pub companies, so I see a lot of pubs....... Rarely do I see such contempt for customers from a member of staff! The bar person was a young lady with very long brown hair (just being clear on who made us leave without a drink) For the five minutes... More

OMG - from our first contact, these guys treated us so well! It continued throughout our Xmas day and we were so well looked after by Peter and his team. The Christmas day meal was awesome and can't fault a thing :-)

Had a lovely Sunday roast with excellent home made cheesecake. Great price and good beer! Can't go wrong Location is very central to all the shops. So perfect for a lunch. Real log fire is a nice touch also

Another dog friendly pub in Brighton with a fabulous atmosphere, great staff and reasonably priced. Great location, just on the Lanes The mulled wine was nice, although slightly pricey. This was not the first visit and will certainly not be the last
