This is a real Gem of a place. Takes a time to go round but there is a lovely cafe for a pit stop. If its a good day there are some lovely gardens too. It's very different to other old houses I've seen - each room so different and very bold and it's worth getting the recording to go... More

We cannot identify with this review and note that the alleged stay was over a month ago As such we consider this input to be largely meaningless and at odds with what the majority of our customers think More

A lovely charming little hotel on the beach of Brighton... As we arrived we were met by very friendly host, who greeted us with open arms, we were allowed to choose between a room we booked, and a room more, that was larger and nicer, so we took that one. The next morning we were served a very nice continental... More

We really appreciate this review and your visiting from Germany. We keep the question of the wifi tariff under constant review and are considering a number of options here - your feedback therefore is really useful. Hopefully we can see you back in Brighton before too long Renewed thanks More

Horrible experience. Was given a room on 4th floor. The potter didnot even bother to inform to tell me the hotel has NO lifts. Ridiculous breakfast (continental breakfast was a toast and butter) and leaky shower which kept dripping all day and night. When asked to move me into another room.. All I got was sorry!! Please think a million... More

This alleged guest is certainly not representative of our usual customers and we cannot identify with their remarks or general lack of understanding: as a one of Brighton's finest Regency squares it would be utterly impractical to install a lift nor would it be required A full continental breakfast is provided and is complimentary so again the views expressed here... I'll start with the good: - The hotel is conveniently located for the beach and about 10 minutes walk from the popular Lanes area. - The room we stayed in, La Chambre de Louis, is nice. Four poster bed always fun to sleep in. Room seemed clean and I appreciated the nice toiletries and clean towels provided daily (we stayed... More

While we were pleased the room was well received, clearly this is a disappointing review overall and it is clear that our reception staff should have been more intuitive regarding your needs As a fine Regency building, space is limited in parts of the hotel. The balconies are in keeping with the rest of the Square which enjoys great views... More

We stayed in this "hotel" in the Tudor Rose room. As first impressions count, sadly the African receptionist kind of gave a carefree booking in experience, and made no attempt at being interested in his new guests. Still, we all have bad days, so onwards to our room, which upon entry was pretty small but clean, as was the bathroom... More

Thank you for providing a balanced review. We have deployed our maintenance team on the bed and will think about options for frosting the window as you suggest I am glad that overall you enjoyed your stay and found it to be decent value for money. Perhaps on your next visit we can tempt you to one of the front... More

This house does not deserve the title of hotel. it is tatty and old. our room overlooked industrial waste. no elevator and service like faulty towers. only good thing was that room was clean thank god. this is a very low level b and b and massively overpriced.

This review is, I'm afraid, nonsense and has really upset our staff, fellow hoteliers and the good folk of Regency Square, more so with references to "industrial waste". Why did this guest not articulate their concerns on arrival and we would have done our best to change rooms? As a grand Regency building, it would impossible to install a lift... More

Well..stayed here Saturday 6th July for my friends 30th birthday and the only thing that I can say made it special was Paul's help with decorating the room and his helpfulness and knowledge prior to our stay so Thankyou Paul. The hotel sits in a good location close to the main town and other attractions. Booked a 2 night stay in Lianna superior double room. Found some faults with the room and was moved to another room whilst the faults were rectified. Unfortunately the other room's wardrobe was locked so we couldn't hang our clothes. After a number of complaints... More

Something of a mixed review with the stay seemingly marred by a collection of minor but nonetheless irritating issues. Patricia is delighted that her endeavours have been recognised in both providing a wifi voucher and upgrading the guest to the peerless Chambre de Louis. In the circumstances we feel the hotel responded well which is not to say we are... More

The hotel itself sits in a very good location and is close to the main hub. The wifi is advertised as free sadly there is a fee of five pounds which is frankly a rip off considering the room rate. Something of a mixed review and we are sorry the hotel did not meet your expectations fully.
