4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stayed one night, first time we have stayed here but have eaten here once before. Very welcoming reception staff, showed to our room quite small but made up for it by a big bathroom with a walk in shower. Very comfortable bed, nice touches, Miller Harris toiletries,i-pod dock. Only downside was our fridge was not working. We were offered another... More

I visited, for the third time, in the summer (2014). It was busy, as you might expect and wasn't coping well. Staff appeared stressed throughout my stay and the restaurant struggled to serve breakfast even with a menu that was depleted. For the second time, it was very noisy in the street outside. Last time seagulls feasting on The Ship's... More

Beautiful decor and one of the best service standards I have seen. Restaurant has also excellent service and main dishes, but unfortunately very average appetisers, which is a shame. This is only reason why did not assign 5 stars across the board. Would definitely visit hotel again.

The hotel is well situated down a side street just behind the front which means you are shielded from the main road but of course the hotel therefore lacks sea views in all but a few rooms at the top. Great location though - short walk to the beach, the Lanes, the Pavilion and other attractions. The Hotel du Vin... More

Brilliant! We arrived and were greeted warmly by Uris (I hope I have spelt that correctly). Delighted to understand that we had received a complimentary upgrade as it was our anniversary - we are fairly frequent users of HDV. Fabulous room with twin rolltop baths, a massive bed and a seperate wet room. We were also treated to a glass... More

Great hotel, very good location for Brighton Seafront, Brighton Pier, The Lanes, shops, pubs and restaurants. A short walk to Hove in one direction and Kemptown in the other. Hotel Du Vin are my favourite hotels giving fabulously good customer service through well trained and friendly (but not too friendly) staff. Breakfast was one of the best. One issue is... More

We recently got married at Hotel Du Vin in Brighton. The venue was beautiful and all the staff were very attentive and helpful. Everyone we have spoken to has lauded Hotel Du Vin for the quality of food and service received on the day. Despite the fact there were two other weddings (that we knew about) taking place that day,... More

I like Hotel du Vin. We've stayed in a few. It's like Waitrose or Pret a Manger, you know what you're getting, there's a certain standard you know is there. But even so, our standard room seemed absurdly expensive for what it was. Even if I had a cat I was prepared to swing, even if I was prepared to... More

I was planning to spend just one night , having been rejected entry in Majorca, people travelling with a Trinidad & Tobago passport need a visa to visit there. Returned to the UK and found refuge in Brighton, the weather was great , glorious sun , while it poured in Majorca, serves them right. Stayed on for another night at... More

Stayed in this hotel in Brighton. The room was large but nothing out of the ordinary. Our friends initially got their room and was tiny so asked to change which was done. The staff were really nice and helpful and the breakfast in the morning was lovely. All in all a good hotel, close to all amenities but rather pricey... More
