Me and my partner stayed for one night in the M J King room, situated at the very top of the hotel- this was perfect for us, no 'neighbours' as such and quiet for a great nights sleep. I've read some reviews about particular rooms being small, yes it wasn't huge but this was not an issue for us. Could... More

I have stayed at a few hotels in the Hotel du Vin/Malmaison group over many years and so had high expectations. I would consider myself to be a loyal customer. Unfortunately this time it did not live up to expectations. There is nothing alarmingly wrong with it, but everything was just that little bit irritating/not quite what you usually expect.... More

My partner and I went in to have a cocktail yesterday afternoon, we ended up staying for a second each, they were lovely, service was great, polite and good sense of humour. Cocktails are a little pricey but worth it as taste sensational, will definately visit here again when we visit Brighton again.

Very pretentious place in the middle of Brighton. Lovely building and top location but one leaves with only one impression and that is of being mugged. 2 bottles of alternative Guinness and an orange juice £18.. Guys you are really taking the peas . One customer at the bar was visibly shaken when asked for £12 for a glass of... More

My partner and I stumbled upon this gem by chance after wandering round Brighton and deciding to extend our stay, but what a find! From the friendly faces that greeted us from reception, the whole experience was flawless. I had asked to see a few rooms first before I decided to book, no problem, the receptionist was more than happy... More

We visited this restaurant a few weeks ago for a special birthday dinner. It most certainly will be our last visit. The onion soup was watery and had absolutely no flavour. My snails were also totally insipid and apart from the garlic butter once again no flavour at all. Had the chef lost the condiments. Our main consisted of two... More

I stayed here several years ago and was very impressed, the rooms were beautifully presented and the whole ambience of the hotel was special. I returned last weekend for Valentines night and whilst the restaurant and vibe of the hotel was still very good the room I was offered was not up to the standard of a hotel charging £350... More

For the price, the room was not worth it - there was no lift so it was a stiff climb up and down and around several steep flights (I am disabled) -the staff were charming and helpful, but there was so little light in the room that it was impossible to read or even see clearly in the morning -... Only ever had drinks here but always a nice atmosphere and great wine... Worth a visit if your in town. Warm comfy area by bar to drink and great service from the staff. Next time I think we will stay for a meal always looks good in the restaurant area.

Me and my boyfriend decided to eat here because we liked the look of the menu and we like trying new places to eat. We were very impressed with the young, blonde gentleman that looked after us, he was very attentive and polite. The food was delicious, we shared the starter and that was nice to get the appetite going,... More
