Just come back from Nineteen! I booked through Late rooms and read all the reviews before making my mind up. Most reviews said it was top notch........it isn't. Late rooms must have a policy of only allowing great reviews onto its website in order for you to book through them!!!! OK here's the good. Mark, the owner tries his best... more

Great little place to stay just a stone's throw from the beach. Rooms are nicely decorated and the breakfast (served in bed) is delicious. more

Here are my reasons why I wouldn't stay at this establishment again based on a 3 night weekend stay 1. The hotel's website portrays a stunning looking boutique style hotel ,but from my experience I have to say that the hotel did not live up to its photographic images and would be far better described as a Guest House/B&B 2.This... more

Took my boyfriend away overnight, he was also going catzapping the next day. Our room was a good size and the bed had lights under the side and in the headboard, so was great at night. Only had a small en-suite shower and loo tho. Breakfast was fairly limited, I had a fruit salad with yogurt and honey ( tasted... more

Tucked away but close to all that Brighton has to offer. Parking at £8 outside the hotel is cheap for area but still needs to be allowed for. The Hotel entrance could do with a clean up and paint and the same could be applied inside. The room was dated with small TV, gaps in laminate flooring, very small ensuite... more

Umm, this is a difficult one! It wasn't like anywhere else we've stayed... We found pretty much the same as other guests. Mark, the owner, is friendly, provides a great, personal, service and has plenty of recommendations for good restaurants. We liked him. Our first impression of our room (room 5) was that it was bright, airy and modern, but... more

I really, really wish I had consulted Trip Advisor before booking our stay at "Hotel" Nineteen as I agree with almost all the reviews (except for the laughable "Fantastic" one below). A few facts about our room: 1. A reduced rate of £100 applied (normally £125 allegedly). 2. The room faced out onto the noisy and somewhat less than glamourous... more

After reading the other reviews for this hotel I felt the need to write to write my own. My husband and I spent our second year anniversary here in August and had a fantastic stay. Mark, the proprietor, was so helpful and gave us some gems of information that we would other wise not have found out in our very... more

I did not enjoy Nineteen and I'd say it is only suitable for very particular tastes. My partner's view was somewhat more damning - in fact she insisted that we leave and relocate ourselves to a different hotel altogether! The bottom line is that Nineteen is trying to be a boutique-y, minimalist, urban retreat-y kind of place (itself a cliché... more
