We stayed for 3 nights. Everything looked great on the website and most of it was good in reality. The staff were friendly and helpful, our bedroom was light and bright with oblique views to the sea. The sheets, towels and robes were all good quality and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent, on time every morning and delicious. BUT just... More

Stayed here for 2 nights to attend a wedding and liked the sound of the champagne breakfast in bed and this certainly lived up to our expectations. We are a couple who love to have entertainment on tap so really appreciated the CD and DVD library - great to watch a light film whilst sipping champagne and eating croissant and... More

I have stayed here on 3 occassions and will be returning for a forth visit due to work commitments, I will be staying at hotel Nineteen again. Mark the owner is pleasant and welcoming, the room is clean and tidy and the breakfast is lovely. Parking is via a permit that you can purchase from Mark, although as you have... More

Seems there are a few negative reviews about Nineteen on here, however I have to disagree with them. I called the hotel a few dayhs before my visit, to check what time checkin was, as I was working Brighton for a few days, and wanted to dump my bags and get a parking permit from them, although checkin was later... We booked this B&B from the internet as there were no other big hotels with availability as we went over the bonfire weekend and we were very happy with our choice. Everything was great, from the location to the breakfast in bed with bucks fizz to kick start weekend mornings. We would definately stay here again, it was nicer than... More

My heart sank when I saw the outside. The sea air has taken toll of the paintwork and it needs tending to after this winter weather. It doesn't look fresh like the website picture anymore. It must have been fantastic when new. Outside 2 stars. But the location was great, the welcome warm, the room excellent and the three breakfasts... More

We are very sorry about your plumbing problem - which we sorted out for you as soon as you told us about it. I think you misheard me; I didn't say it happens all the time, I said it's normal for the shower tray to drain away slowly because of the saniflo pumping system our plumbing is based on. We... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in July. Booked here as to the location was just perfect for beach, bars and restaurants. As we arrived we were not impressed with the frontage and the street, looked quite rundown. Met by Arif who was a very nice chap so things were looking up. The room. Quite small but that's ok and we knew that... More

We are sorry you weren't impressed. When comparing star ratings please remember that the Jury's Inn is a Hotel, and we are a Guest House. Unlike large hotels, small quality guest houses can't compete with very low room rates around £30 - our cost base is just too high. More

My boyfriend and I spent a 3-night weekend stay here which was relaxing and pleasant. Nineteen is in a great location, close to the beach and some good restaurants and pubs. We stayed in the "Den" which is one of the rooms at the top of the house, slightly smaller than the other double rooms according to the website but... More

When I used to live locally to Brighton and Hove this small boutique hotel/B&B was so cool. The dark grey exterior and full occupancy meant that getting a reservation here was difficult. Oh how times have changed. We stayed here for just one night (thankfully) whilst we reacquainted ourselves with the area for relocation purposes. From the street the terrace... More

The real reason for your discontent was of course that you had to pay a cancellation charge for the room you cancelled 24 hours before arrival. More
