I had read/heard some rather dreadful reviews about this place (like smelly duvet), so was a bit concerned. Firstly, the place is in Hove (roughly 20 minutes by cab from Brighton station) - so in case you're thinking of saving money on your room, you might end up spending the savings on your cab rides. This wasn't a major concern... More

Stayed in a 6 bed dorm for a weekend away with the girls. Was literally the hottest room short of being an actual sauna have ever been in. £15 per night you get what you pay for and share the experience with people spending very little on their accommodation... Groups of lads shouting comments at you from the windows as... More

Some places you stay in, you have to be grateful for, simply because you’ll be able to knock one more place of the List Of Places One Can Stay. It was really not to be repeated. To be fair, I have stayed in worse places. But not by a great degree, I hasten to add. We paid up front over... More

I was here for 2 nights with my boyfriend in a 6 bed dorm. It had a private bathroom etc which was convenient, although the rooms were very small. There was a lounge area where you could access wifi and a tv, as well as a few computers. The breakfast was included, there was toast, cornflakes and tea and coffee... More

This actually isn't a bad hostel, it's really cheap and it's really friendly, beds are clean and the toilets were spotless, lovely showers also. Met some amazing people here :) also people who are complaining, it's £15.00 a night, it's not going to be the ritz, but it's amazing if you are planning a night out and just need a... More

Even for a hostel it was pretty poor. Rooms are very poorly maintained (odd taps on the bathroom sink). Breakfast was a joke, sold as a continental breakfast, was basically a choice between value cornflakes or toast servers with a tub of value marg, no juice, just squash. Wouldn't recommend, wouldn't mind so much if it was close to the... More

Basic room , perfect for collapsing after a night out drinking. Good price and fairly central location, hotel a bit run down inside. Single and twin rooms are the best, avoid sharing a large room unless you like slumming it. Customer service not brilliant.

I stayed at this hostel as part of a large group , choosing to book a single room. The most attractive part of the booking was the price, coming in at £77 for a weekend night in hove/Brighton which is really not bad at all. The service was ok, booking in the receptionist gave us an in -correct total price... More

myself and a friend traveled to Brighton for few days and was recommend this hostel for what reason i dont know why location was not central at all and it had no redeeming characters so to speak. but what did make up for our experience were the people staying in the hostel. we stayed in the 20 bed mixed dorm,... Smart Sea View does the job if you're going to be out and about, but be warned that some of the staff are incredibly rude! One of the receptionists smirked away as he informed us that we had cancelled a bed 8 minutes too late to make a 48hr cancellation policy (despite the website noting a 24hr cancellation period) and...
