My mother and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in early July. It was booked for us, recommended by friends of my cousin, but turned out to be what I would call marginal - dirty rooms, stains on carpet and pull-out sofa, broken plumbing, dead flies and crumbs on the window sills, and quite a maze of doors... more

Tough the staff were very friendly, we did encounter several problems during our stay. You have to pay for parking at this hotel. We checked the notice/price board to see if those registered disable had free or reduced parking. As it didn't we paid the £5 fee. The hotel member of staff said that it is FREE for disabled parking, after... more

With some trepidation after reading previous reviews i booked three nights in this hotel .however on arrival we parked easy , though the silly system of tickets is annoying , reception seemed okay though i did feel we were being a nuisance booking at the hotel . Up to our room and this is where me and travelodge fall out... more

I booked this hotel last minute due to a last minute appointment in the area. The hotel suited budget and I guess was reasonably priced for the size of the room, but the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom, and the state of the curtains - (had rips in them and let a lot of light in) really let... more

I stayed at the Travelodge in Brighton with a party of 14 girls and we were all there for a hen weekend. The reception area and bar was pretty basic, a bit greasy chip fat smelling, but the staff very very helpful and friendly - they even opened the bar early when some of us arrived on the Friday before... more

I was surprised I was disappointed with this Travelodge, both because it's fairly new, and also because of previous reviews on this site. However, I would not stay there again even at the low price, and here's why: 1. The entire hotel (once past the reception area) smelled bad. The downstairs corridors and lift area smell of dirt and the... more

Brighton has always been popular with Londoners - it used to be an hour from the capital, and maybe it still is by rail but they've built a motorway now and so by road it can take two or more hours. Fortunately, Travelodge is on the main road into town, just by the large Preston Park which it overlooks. That's... more

Stayed 2 nights here-It is easy to find. It is opposite a park but is surrounded mainly by office blocks. The location is not great and it is over a mile walk to the centre of Brighton. The staff were very pleasant. Do not forget your mobile phone as there are no telephones in the bedrooms-also no public phones in the... more

Stayed here for one night as a stop over before getting the ferry from Newhavan. Accommodation is basic, however at £26 per night you cant expect much else! Ok if your looking for budget room in Brighton and would probably stay there again at that price. more

Stayed 1 night on business Above average travelodge. No complaints, basic cheap hotel. Staff pleasant. Nice bar/restaurant area, with large plasma Tv Quite a walk into the town, but plenty of buses and taxis Parking at the hotel costs £5 per day and the car park fills up, i got the last space. more
