First impressions of the hotel was that it was below par compared to other Travelodge's I have stayed at. The front desk staff were helpful enough but the room itself was a little below standard. I stayed in a family room on the 5th floor with some friends. The room had a musty smokey smell when we entered and we... more

I was looking for somewhere cheap to stay during Conference week in Brighton when you can barely get a broom cupboard for under £100 per night !! I paid £42 per night at Travelodge and found it to be excellent value. I asked for a room on the highest floor (8th) and was not bothered by noise at all. The... more

Travelodge..excellent value for money since booked 21 days in advance. Everything is good..except a bit of walk to the sea front. I would still rate it good only if booked well in advance. more

Had fire at my home so had to book lastminute place to stay. The only good things about this hotel are that they allowed me to bring my dog and gave me my money back after I complained. The staff were friendly and helpful but very inexperiencd and they only have occasional visits from a manager, so can't make any... more

Booking the travelodge was a very easy affair, and the rooms seem to be good value although this travelodge charge for parking which is quite expensive and considering location, is unexpected. The room itself was very big but the bathroom cold tap was not working and the shower needed some attention. The hotel itself gave an impression of a lack... more

I know its cheap but as a seasoned traveller (and one who uses travelodges on an infrequent basis), this was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The check in was ok but the room was dire. The furnishings were dirty and there were a number of bulbs missing or not working. The heater was hanging off the... more

All in all this is not a bad hotel. I would recommend asking for a room on one of the higher floors given that there are 3 night club/bars directly across the road. The rooms are small and basic and the wet rooms don't have a bath - but rather, a very cheap plastic curtain and low water pressure. In... more

I stayed here with my hen party - 15 girls and it was perfect for us. Ok so with Travelodge it is no frills but I was pleasantly surprised. We had 3 girls to a room, the rooms were very large in size - at one point we had all 15 girls in the room for games before the evening... more

Stayed for 2 nights in the Brighton Travelodge this weekend while in town for a wedding. While the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very shabby and surrounded by lots of chavvy nightclubs - not very nice when walking home to see somebody being handcuffed at the side of the hotel. The rooms were ok, bed... more
