Everything about the hotel was horrible, it was shabby and dirty. The bedroom had a lot of dead flies in it. The bathroom was disgusting. Windows did not open properly. The breakfast was cancelled because of staff illness. We complained to Travelodge who reimbursed us and admitted that they were aware the hotel required deep cleaning. more

Booked the travelodge as my partner and i were going on a night out for a friends birthday. I had previously stayed her with friends a year before and was amazed how big the rooms were, so thought as i knew it we would stay there. Arrived at 3pm and struggled to find a space in the carpark so would... more

We had five nights here, using Brighton as a base to travel around Sussex. The hotel is as good as any Travelodge bar Liverpool Street which was excellent. The room was spotless and at the side so it was fairly quiet. Everything worked fine and the reception staff were okay. The only downside was that we had our 'Do Not... more

Stayed one night - Oct 09 . Paid a very high rate ( £135) probably due to Labour Party Conference and shortage rooms in Brighton. I had no problems with damaged furniture , lack of cleanliness etc that others have found. My room was large for this type of accomodation- the bed mattress clean and comfortable. Bathroom reminded me of... more

I booked this travelodge due to the fact it had a car park but it is the absolute worst place we have ever, ever stayed in. On our arrival we had to change rooms three times as the rooms we were allocated looked more like they were being rented out by the hour, not the night! We were met with... more

My sister and I stayed for one night here, one night was enough. very understaffed, the room looked clean but if you looked further there were signs that the place is falling to pieces, the food was nice though, and the lady who served us was nice enough to let us take food upstairs, but other than that I dont... more

This place is adequate. It seems rather understaffed so for a lone traveller does not feel particularly safe. The room was clean and adequate. breakfast was extra. For the price (£79 per night mid week), I think it it failed. Special offers on better hotels can meet or undercut this price at most times of the year. Although this hotel... more

I stayed in this hotel on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th July, as a few of us were on a "Stag Do" - to be honest the place was pretty much rammed with "Stags" and "Hens". As mentioned on a few other posts, it's a good 15~20 minute walk down to the sea front, so not the greatest location really.... more

First impressions of the hotel was that it was below par compared to other Travelodge's I have stayed at. The front desk staff were helpful enough but the room itself was a little below standard. I stayed in a family room on the 5th floor with some friends. The room had a musty smokey smell when we entered and we... more

I was looking for somewhere cheap to stay during Conference week in Brighton when you can barely get a broom cupboard for under £100 per night !! I paid £42 per night at Travelodge and found it to be excellent value. I asked for a room on the highest floor (8th) and was not bothered by noise at all. The... more
