I can't say enough positive things about this hostel.. I wouldn't even call it a hostel; this was more like a hotel! Spent 2 nights in this great city and both the staff and hotel was amazing! A special shout out to Lee, Angela, Dan, Humphrey and Tom!! Every single one of them went ABOVE and beyond my expectations. Not... More

Kipps is a great place to stay in Brighton! It's perfectly located, clean, spacious and has a really good vibe about the place. The staff really make Kipps- they are fun and friendly, and there is always something going on in the evening. We have stayed in both the twin and double rooms which were better than most of the... This hostel was fantastic, easy to find and a short walk from pretty much everything. Kipp's was super clean, comfortable and had everything you need. Even a mini fridge and a safe in the rooms. We noticed they had laundry facilities which we didn't need to use but thought it was great, and a communal kitchen with use of your... More

Me and my friend stayed at this hostel for two nights in the easter break. We didn't want to spend much on our accommodation so we wanted to book a hostel. We stayed in the dormitory and it was great! The staff were friendly, there was lots of facilities and staying in the dormitory with other people wasnt a problem... More

Hi "Inviting, comfortable and worth the money" - We like this headline, maybe this should be on our sign at the front of the hostel :) Glad you enjoyed your stay, and look forward to welcoming you to Brighton and to Kipps again soon Kipps More

My partner and I stayed in the 12 bed dorm over the Easter bank holiday, and loved this place from the beginning. Staff were super friendly and helpful, kitchen facilities were basic but well kept, bar prices are cheap and the rooms and bathrooms are kept very clean and cheerful. The wi-fi was reliable and tea and coffee are always... More

We stayed in a double room, again clean and comfortable - even a free toothbrush and shower gel in the room ha! The bar is sooooo reasonably priced and the brekkie was great too - BONUSES ALL ROUND!!!! I tell you, I cant wait... More

Kipps is an ideal choice if you want a budget stay in Brighton with a social side. I stayed in a single room which makes it just as good as being in a hotel - free Wi-Fi in the room, tea/coffee with kettle and a shower/toilet just outside the room. But the bonus is that they organise some sort of... More

Hi Thank you for your rating and comments. We do try to keep prices down on the bar as much as possible, as we are aware many guests now travel on a daily budget. The problem with stocking the beers/ ales you would like, is they are very expensive when you do not buy in Bulk, like the larger chain... More

After travelling since 1974 I can honestly say this is the worst experience I've ever had with betrayal by a hostel or hotel. It beggars belief what this staff is capable of, and I was extremely keen on arrival. Recommended by my hosts at Brighton U. down the street--what a mistake! Booked my place by phone with the hotel directly... More

Hi Firstly I would like to point out your review and rating is very unfair and alot of your comments untrue. So for future guests reading your comments, we thought we would reply. So other guests can read another point of view. You had made a reservation for the Sunday night, for 4 nights. You failed to show up on... More

Was in Brighton overnight with a friend for a workshop. The hostel was in a great location, it's in front of the Royal Pavilion. Very clean and organised - you can't stay in the rooms though from 11:00-14:00 due to the cleaning. Staff are quite nice. All in all money well spent

Hi Thank you for your nice comments and review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay The reason the dormitory rooms are closed between these times, is for the house keeping staff to clean the rooms and ensuite bathrooms. it is very difficult to clean the rooms, when guests are in the room etc...... We do have a lounge and... More
