For about the same price you can stay in an international chain hotel which looks like any other - or you can stay in a slightly quirky, charming, friendly owner-managed place like the Regency. Don't be put off by the steep staircase, uneven floors or unpredictable plumbing. The location is perfect, close to everything but not too noisy, breakfast is... More

My husband and I had a child free weekend so made an escape to Brighton for an overnight visit. The hotel is brilliantly located within 10 minutes walk of everything. We were in room 6 which was lovely, immaculately clean and had fabulous sea views. The gentleman who greeted us was really nice and so helpful. I will definitely be... More

Bit mixed, as with any B&B hotel in Brighton its a bit of a gamble, see below. Plus points, central location, adequate room although dated, friendly welcome. Negatives, Breakfast (although nice you wait ages, up to an hour), no parking but nearby and around £18pd., not the most sound proofed of rooms.

We had a great time in Brighton. Our hotel was clean, good location and the owner was very helpful and welcoming. Bed was comfortable. If you go for a room on the top floor beware there are many steps but that didn't bother us. We shall be returning.

This hotel is in a good location near the sea front and an easy walk to the centre, pier and other attractions. We had a nice room with an interesting antique bed. Our room was at the back so only a view of the rear, rooms at the front will have a great sea view. The owner is very friendly... More

A lovely and quiet hotel. Friendly staff and the owner is very welcoming. Breakfast was great and freshly cooked. The hotel is close enough to enjoy Brightons lively atmosphere, but not too close to hear it. However this hotel is not one for the faint hearted as there are seven flights of stairs if you are in the top rooms

This hotel is extremely outdated & frankly dirty. It is listed as a hotel / B&B, yet they have no dining area & no breakfast to what we saw. Shower drainage in my room was rubbish, Water rose quickly above my feet & took over 10 minutes to drain away. Rooms I saw were all outdated & dirty. One room... More

I have just had a 3 night stay at the Regency, a lovely boutique hotel in Regency square overlooking the promenade and seafront. The room was small but spotless with a lovely comfy bed and the manager/owner and staff were most helpful. I would highly recommend. Perfect position for shopping (Churchill square) hundreds of restaurants and all the beachside amusements.

I came here in June for a week as i was doing my work experience at the Hilton Hotel and I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. So many great things to comment on, I'm not sure where to start! - The staff were so friendly. I had to leave around 8.45 to get to work and cooked... More
