This hotel has obviously been refurbished and decorated to a high standard but the noise from the club below is too much - going on until 4am and keeping hotel guests awake. The rooms are clean however. The service is a bit hit a miss - the staff sometimes give the impression that giving you service is an inconvenience rather... more

This is the place for you if you enjoy a mixed (straight/gay, men/women), extremely loud, bass thumping music until 5 a.m., bar. The staff is more concerned with the bar guests than the hotel guests. The hotel is also gay/straight, men/women. Hotel guests' problems are dealt with in a most off-handed way. The elevator did not operate on several occasions... more

I was visiting a friend in Brighton and wanted a cheap central location hotel and I found it on here! I totally agree with all the other reviewers this is a very welcoming place to stay. I went for the cheapest single room at £40 including breakfast which was a complete bargain. The room was very small (carpet a bit... more

The rooms are most excellent with a very comfortable bed. It is a shame that when these rooms were updated they didnt think to install double glazing to the windows to cut down on the noise from the road. Nice view of the sea, right opposite the pier. and being on the second floor the noise from the late night... more

Good sea-front location and friendly staff, but be warned, this place is party central! Great if that's what you're looking for, but if like us, turning in at midnight and not 5 a.m is more your thing, the crowds yacking away on the terrace and the boom boom boom form the music in the bar will keep you awake for... more

Gay AND straight friendly hotel when we stayed here in Feb 2009. We had a double room with breakfast, booked the night before our Friday night stay. Although the room was very basic and on the small side, we had almost everything we needed. We paid a rate that on reflection provided great value at £59.00 through Laterooms.com. A bonus... more

As I was on an overnighter to Brighton I wanted the cost to be low as I didn't expect to be in the city for a full 24 hour period. On arrival check in was so easy and went without hassle or problem, friendly and polite reception staff as well as very easy on the eye... ;-) The room that... more

The staff at this hotel were so so helpful, and pleasant, amking sure we got another taxi (previous one got lost it seems) as soon as they could, so we could get to the station and... more

Have visited Brighton many times but this was my 1st stay at Legends. Booked a basic single room which was very small with tiny shower room but clean & comfortable. Location was great for the Brighton gay scene and the Legends bar is fun with free entry for residents to the large basement nightclub. Remember though, that as well as... more
