Just spent 2 nights here, one of the quietist places we have stayed in. We stayed in a second floor room, spotlessly clean, fab shower and very comfy bed. Tea and coffee facilities. Hosts were friendly (we had let them know in advance our arrival time). Excellent area with easy access to the town and lots of interesting cafes and... More

The owner was absolutely lovely, the room was so cosy and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Stayed here for two nights and is amazing at such a low price too. Could see the sea from our room. Didn't want to leave!

Mark the proprietor was very nice. He was able to recommend restaurants and offer on street parking for a fee of £8 for 24 hours which is very reasonable for Brighton. The guest house is situated within walking distance from the main pier, nightlife and restaurants yet is in a quiet road so no noise from traffic. It was super... More

I spent 6 nights here last week when I attended the Labour conference. It had everything I needed, clean, decent sized room, comfy bed, good shower. It also had a tv, tea & coffee and plenty of storage/hanging space. 5 minutes from the beach, really near to the pier and just 20min walk from the conference centre so ideal for... More

We stayed here for a few days. Our experience was miserable. Primarily, this hotel misrepresented the size of the beds in the hotel. My husband has since long suffered from back pain, and after staying here he was hardly able to walk for several days due to the size and quality of the bed. When we asked to change our... More

Just got home from a wonderful 4 nights at this little guest house in Kemptown. Mark is the very amiable host, but is also low-profile, we were free to come and go as we pleased. The guest house is ideally situated to enjoy the little cafes and bars of Kemptown, but is also just a 15 min walk to the... More

My partner and I stayed here for two nights. We got a great price because it was fir room only. With loads of cafes around that doesn't matter so much. The Hotel is in Kemptown and is really close to the beach and walking distance to the main shopping areas. The hotel itself is very basic and has no lift... More

Stayed Saturday 28th Feb for one night last minute getaway for a night in fabulous Brighton. Booked here & was extremely impressed. Mark sent us a confirmation email to give us arrival information. On arrival a very pleasant & warm welcome to the establishment. Being frequent visitors to Brighton we will certainly be coming back to Court Craven. Room was... More

We booked at the last minute and found Mark at the Craven Court to be very helpful. I was a bit nervous as had read reviews so emailed an expected arrival time and received a quick response. We arrived two hours early and so I sent an email saying we could check in early if they needed us to -... More

The man who runs this hotel is rude/neurotic depending on how generous you're feeling. We were arrived at 9:20 (not 1:20 am for goodness sake) and were scolded like little children and told by the owner that he was just about to call us and say don't bother coming. Quite ridiculous behaviour for a hotel to behave. He was watching... More
