Just back from a 2 night stay at The Cecil House Hotel. Booked as hubby was running in the Brighton Half. On arrival we were given a free upgrade to a sea view room, which had 2 double beds in and a lovely en suite. Spotlessly clean, and well maintained, although the tv doesn't stay on channel. There is a... More

Reading some previous review I was a little nervous when a booking I had elsewhere was transferred to this hotel. I needn't worried as this property met our needs. Reception was very friendly on arrival, the room was tastefully decorated and very clean (and kept that way throughout our stay). Also a great location on the seafront. There are a... More

This property is definitely work in progress, refurbished room and bathroom tastefully done but sadly lacking essentials. Apparently for a 2 Diamond property you should NOT expect a wardrobe, set of drawers, toilet roll holder, bathroom shelf or any sign of hooks for coats or towels. Avoid high-floor rooms as no lift, felt ripped off, did expect a lot better... More

booked far in advance and from pics looked basic but clean. obviously the pictures lied. shower and curtain were mouldy. shower fixture broken. bed was extremely squeaky and bedding and pillows cheap nasty and stained. chair was broken and too cramped as I ordered a double room and got a family room.

I wanted to write a review of this hotel (the first time I have ever done so on here) as I was a little nervous before I arrived due to some of the others I had read. The staff were lovely, including a nice email before I arrived. We arrived late but they were expecting us and ready to check... More

If you are in Brighton to party hard and sleep and comfort are not options then absolutely ignore this review. If you want to relive your student days, paying out for only the bare essentials then you must ignore this review. I came to Brighton for a hen weekend with 9 other girls. The room layout was two people on the 1st floor, four people on 2nd, two on the 3rd and another two. The 1st and 2nd floor rooms were ok however the all the tv's were very temperamental, the taps in the sink were leaking, one shower had jets... More

Very basic cheap hotel on the Brighton sea front. Funny layout and feels run down and in need of some help. Good size room but needs upgrade. Windows could do with a some soundproofing, it felt like they were wide open at night it was so noisy. But, it's a cheap hotel so not unexpected.

I was in Brighton for a few days with my mates, we stayed at a very warm and comfortable guest house. Although the rooms were small (as expected), the beds were pleasant, bathrooms were clean, most of all there was a beautiful view of the Brighton seafront. Due to its location, everything was easily accessible, maximum 5 minutes walk to... More

I stayed here for one night in late August with my partner and my mother in a "triple room" to save money as prices in Brighton during the summer holidays can really rise. Despite having booked in January, the woman who checked me in had it on her records that there were only two people staying. This became an issue... More
