My friends and I stayed here for one night visiting friends in Brighton. Having never been to the area the receptionist was very helpful marking out a map for us on arrival. The hotel is in a brilliant location, not a very far walk to the places we wanted to go e.g. the pier, the beach, the lanes. We stayed... More

Stayed here for one night on a Friday. Had single room and friends shared a double room, both rooms really spacious, clean and basic. Staff friendly, mainly stag and hen parties here but was fine for the night. For the price paid in central Brighton cannot give this any less than a very good.

Stayed here twice both times great experience. Very unusual for Brighton, off street parking is available at reasonable cost. It's not a big place, the lift is the smallest I've ever been in. Very good personable service, rooms are more than adequate for the price, free wifi throughout the hotel (as it should be), very good value. Breakfast is great.... More

My friends and I stayed here over the weekend to celebrate my hen party. We had a great view from our room and they were clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and we had all we would need. Very noisy at night ( we contributed to this!) I wouldn't stay there with my children but it was perfect for us... More

Fabulous room we are a family of four the hotel gave us a room with a double and 2 single beds and it suited us down to the ground, small but adequate bathroom, as we had a sea view the downside is that the bathroom has no natural light, but this is insignificant when you had the view we had... The nightclub attached to this hotel makes it impossible to sleep on Friday or Saturday nights. Loud thumping music can be heard till 3am even on top floor. My single room was tatty, shower was a trickle with no decent temperature control. When I returned to my room in the evening I discovered it had not been made up. The... More

My daughter and I had a one night stay at the New Madeira Hotel. Its location is excellent. Overlooking Brighton Wheel, Seafront and Pier whilst being three minutes walk from the Brighton Lane. They are obviously refurbishing this hotel a bit at a time (although there was no unsightly scaffolding or building works) They have completed the first two floors... More

Overpriced for what is on offer. Rooms were clean but showing signs of age...Extremely noisy at night from Disco downstairs and drunken guests shouting and slamming doors late at night...and an early wake up call from the seagulls !!! Friendly and helpful staff but that didn't make up for the bad aspects...If you want to party, maybe the place for... More

My family and I stayed here on the 05apr as my husband was running in the marathon. We had asked for a quite room and the hotel was very helpful and allocated us room 318 which was perfect! not a sound could be herd from the busy bar/ disco downstairs. The room was clean and well presented. The hotel provided... More

Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. But the rooms were pretty gross. Needs a refurb and re style and new beds and lamps that work. Room was cold and noisy as next to main road, drunk people shouting in early hours. The windows were banging loudly due to wind, facilities were poor, felt like I was in the YMCA. No... More
