Very nice people, located just accros from the Pier. The room we had was a SeaView. The decoration was nice but could use a little renovation. Breakfast was good. However, be aware that they have a disco on Fridays and you can probably hear the music. The window is not soundproof, so it could get noisy...

For a budget place to stay this is a gem! We stayed as a single sex group of 22 on a hen weekend and found the rooms clean and spacious. Beds were comfy, bathroom wasn't the biggest but showers were always hot which is a bonus. We stayed in a lovely room facing the sea and the big wheel, we... More

For the price it was average (but was bank holiday weekend). Only there for one night. Room basic, bed hard. Luckily we were at rear of hotel so quiet. parking difficult and on the street. Wouldn't stay again. Hotel in need of TLC.

Like many buildings in Brighton, the New Madiera looks tired and in need of some TLC. The location is suburb, being right opposite the wheel. Parking is a pain, and you have to pay for street parking between 9:00am and ...(can't remember!). Missed the 9:00am return to car time and copped a £25 parking fine! Our room was huge! It... More

Me and two friends stayed in a triple room and were very pleased with the experience. We were pleasantly surprised to find a separate walk-in wardrobe/dressing room and the beds were perfectly comfy. Nice and clean when we arrived and the location was perfect. Within a 5/10 minute walk of everything we needed and wanted to see. The only two... More

Stayed here a few times and generally its not bad. Very well situated opposite the seafront, town centre about 2 minutes walk away. The rooms are clean, reasonably well-equipped and staff have always been very helpful. Only downside is the noise, if you're at the front of the hotel, it is extremely noisy and impossible to sleep.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location and free wifi. Otherwise the room was smaller than expected and in desperate need of refurbishment. There is no A/C, no double glazing and a very limited number of fans for the entire hotel. After looking at the breakfast options we decided to eat elsewhere and i'm glad... More

The New Madeira suited my purposes but it's a bit of a stretch to describe it as a hotel. The "Funky Fish Nightclub" takes priority but as I was staying on a Wednesday night it did not disturb me as it has previous reviewers. There is no provision for evening meals but this is not a problem as there are... More

When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist greeted us and have is our room key and the free wifi code which we were not expecting. The rooms were so nice and were very clean. There was a t.v, hair dryer and kettle all in the room free of charge. Clean towels are also provided whenever you want them and... More
