Although the decor is a little dated in the corridors, the room we had was great. We had a very warm and friendly welcome. The staff could not have been any more helpful to us both and they always tried to 'go the extra mile' to help. Situated by the sea front and close enough to walk to all attractions,... more

We stayed for 1 night , 27th October, my wife, daughter and small dog. The room (112) was very spacious, a large double ( which was abit too soft to be honest) and a single for my daughter. We were surprised to find that the room came with a courtyard garden which was ideal as we had taken our dog... more

My boyfriend and I were travelling to Brighton to see a show and decided to stay overnight. I spent ages looking for a hotel, looking for a bargain and then comparing the hotels by reviews. I cannot tell you how long it took me.!! The hotels looked great as did the pictures and then when you read the reviews they... more

We have been to Brighton on a number of occassions and always struggle to choose a hotel as there are so many. The New Steine was lovely, clean and comfortable. The service excellent and Pimms on arrival was very welcome! The breakfast was also first rate and you could taste the quality of ingredients used. Will definately been staying again. more

This hotel was booked for a business trip and it was an excellent and charming hotel to stay in. Spotlessly clean, smartly decorated - and the customer service was fantastic. Everything was a great experience, and I'll definitely stay here for a personal trip too. And recommend it to friends planning a trip to Brighton! more

I have also made a review on the LateBooking.com site as I'm a believer that give credit where credit is due. I was more than pleased with the hotel. The staff were very willing to help, friendly and professional - nothing was too much trouble. l stayed on the ground floor room 102 which was a comfortable sized double bedded... more

Only a few hours ago I left Brighton after spending five days there. I stayed at the New Steine Hotel and can definitely recommend this place to everyone. Situated on a quiet location but then, only five minutes away from all the action, the pubs, and the Pier ofcourse. Great service and my compliments to the staff who constantly showed... more

I have just spent 5 nights at the New Steine on a business trip to Brighton. Owned by a Frenchman, it looks like the classic English sea-side B&B but it suffers from none of the faults of such a place. Room slightly small (though it had its own little private courtyard) but scrupulously clean with good bathroom and separate loo.... more

This hotel is great! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I arrived early and my room wasn't ready, so they quickly moved me to another one. They helpfully lent me a power outlet adapter since I'd forgotten mine. The room itself seemed newly furnished and I had a nice view of the sea. The location is great. Almost right... more

The only fault was that I had to share a toilet and that the coffee was not renewed in my room each day. Otherwise I would not hesitate to recommend them. On arrival my case was carried to my room, which was comfortable and clean. The full english breakfast was very good and the service was excelent. more

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments in your review. The single rooms in our Hotel are shared facilities (as advertised), but all the remainder are en suite. I have passed your comments re the Coffee onto our Housekeeper to ensure that this is corrected in the future. I am glad that everything else was to your liking and we...
