The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast excellent quality (top notch sausages & bacon!) and the location was fabulous! I truly appreciate that this hotel is EXACTLY what it claims to be....it was THE most inexpensive room I found near the waterfront in Brighton for that night (I only booked 2 days before... more

The hotel itself was very easy to find and only a few hundred yards from the main peer itself and quite close to the Lanes so location was perfect. On arrival we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality and that feeling was given right through till the end of our stay. All staff were courteous, polite and very helpful,... more

Stayed here whilst attending a conference. The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean, had a sea view and was tastefully decorated. Some great art scattered around the place too. Good location, do make sure you take advantage of the hotel's parking permits, only £5 per 24 hrs. Food all fresh and... more

My one statemnet says it all really. The building is typical of a Brighton square being a three storey town house. Th edecor has been tastefully done but still symapathetic to the underlying structure. The dining area is small but not claustrophobic and has the wonderful smell of the frsh lavender at the wopen windows. The menu has a well... more

I booked a twin room through the internet as live in Spain and I was travelling with my sister from the USA, we arrived to a very friendly welcome and the room was a delight, very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We used the bar area to meet up with the rest of our family (3 brothers) and... more

Very handy location - easy walk from town centre. Nice sea view from our room. Quite noisy from passers-by and traffic on the first night, but didn't notice noise second night. Tip: when asking taxi driver to take you there, it's called "New steen" not "New stine" nor "New steina". more
