... when booking with this hotel when staying with young children. Both on their website and on the website in which we made the booking they stated that they were child friendly and offering cots/cribs and children's television stations etc. However, upon booking and providing our bank details we were informed that children under three were not allowed in the... Asked for an upper room with a view. We got the top floor, double room with a single. Really clean room. The view was of the top of houses and the Brighton Wheel. Pretty nice really. The shower needs updating and the shower head replacing. But other than that the place was great. Parking was ok too. They give you... More

Very clean and well decorated. The family room sleeping 3 was lovely and spacious. Only marred by the view of a white wall out of both windows. Breakfast was good but only if you totally explained what you wanted. I asked for poached eggs on toast. I got one egg on a plate and two halves of toast in a... More

I cannot praise this hotel enough, right from the warm greeting by Herve and the team ( along with a complimentary chilled mojito ) to the breakfast the following morning. The hotel ( a converted townhouse ) makes a wonderful base from which to explore Brighton. Located in Kemp Town you are very close to the sea front, and less... More

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your kind review. We are absolutely delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay! Indeed parking in Brighton can be problematic at times, both for visitors and residents alike. As you mentioned however, we do offer 24 hour parking vouchers at the reception and these often prove to be much more cost effective... More

Other beds are springy but comfortable to some extent. The toilet for the single room is a little far away from the actual room. Wall is thin. Can hear people laughing next door. Nice garden view. Breakfast is awesome and very healthy. I like how close it is to the sea but not directly next to the sea.

Effort has been made with the decor, and the breakfast was delicious....the staff were friendly and helpful, but some of the staff have quite a limited knowledge of English which was causing frustration for the people booking in when we arrived who needed advise on parking, the room was £150 p/n which we felt was expensive for what felt like a standard... Have stayed at this hotel in the past and as that visit was very good decided to return. Was not disappointed, the owner Herve Guyat is most helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I stay several times a year in Brighton/Hove on business and usually use the Best Western in Hove which is OK. This time it was fully booked so I looked around and found the New Steine. I am usually put off by not being able to park on site, but when I spoke to the very helpful gentleman on the... More
