I've never actually written a Tripadvisor review before but if this stops anyone from staying here that would be perfect. This place is dangerous and vile. After booking a private four bed dorm for myself and three friends, another "guest" managed to let themselves into our room with a keycard at 6.30am after being told it was his room. Night... More

I can not believe this run down and unclean building used to be a St Christopher's Inn! + good duvet and pillows + location - hygiene - rude staff - too firm mattress - not safe - poor wifi even on the first floor above the reception - falling apart Four of us booked a private dorm for one night... I checked in to a mixed 8 bed dorm, selected unused bunk before going back out. In return at 22:45, I find a young man in the bunk, no problem, I will have top bunk, never stayed in UK hostel before, makes no diff to me. He suddenly broke into a homophobic rant how I hate men, assuming by my... More

The hostel is well located for the beach and nightlife, I'll give it that. Apart from that the staff isn't very welcoming, the room was dirty and freezing and the breakfast very very basic. You could see electric cables hanging off the walls, a bucket of dirty water in the hallway, carpet tearing of the stairs, mould in the bathroom...... More

Very friendly hostel, great location in the seaside near to the coach station and right next to the Brighton pier. Our room had a nice view on the sea. I didn't really stay much, we came from a party that lasted till early morning (so we stayed literally 3 hours: 2 for sleep and one for breakfast and getting ready)... More

I had the option between Kipps Hostel down the street, but chose HostelPoint because I didn't want to be in a co-ed room. The staff was very uninformative, no one who worked the desk while I was there spoke English, and the whole ground floor smelled like a music festival (which, it turns out, came from a greasy haired man... The price was cheap, so that means you get sub-par hostelling at HostelPoint. Super quiet and unwelcoming staff. Basic bathroom set up in the dorm: no hooks, no soap, clogged shower drain. Cleanliness wasn't the best but wasn't the worst. The bunk beds are squeaky and super uncomfortable. I had a metal bar digging into my hip every night. Also,... More

Hostel Point is not cheap for what you get. The beds are creaky and dirty with stains on the mattresses. One bunk was practically falling apart with tape holding it together. The bathroom is filthy with mould and stains. I would understand if this place was £5, but not £23 per night. Avoid if possible.

"Cheap" is a laughable statement. £20 per night is not cheap - it's standard. And for anywhere outside of the UK, it's downright expensive. Location being great is the only reason why they deserve 1 star, even though sleeping on the streets in the same location would be slightly less comfortable albeit free. Supposedly there was WiFi, but this was... More

I needed a bolthole as I was over in Brighton for an interview. Not having much money on me I ended up in this hostel. It's great for £9 a night. Ask other hostels were at a similar price however this offered a 8 bunk room at £9 where as all others were 12-16. It's a shame there were no... More
