I stayed here for a night between a short stay in Surrey and flying out from Gatwick. All-around, my stay was fine. I booked a 6-bed dorm, but got a bed in a 3-bed room instead, right on the top floor. (The climb was a little intimidating!) I had what I needed, but no luxuries, which was fine for the... More

I stayed here for one night with 2 friends, the hotel smelt of alcohol all night it was just an open alcohol lobby to a very low standard,£60 was pretty excessive for a night in a hostel, the worst thing was the invasion of privacy, without knocking we were asleep and staff entered our room numerous times which was unacceptable, before knocking. The hostel... More

Simple and right on the front. Needs a bit of work and while we were there they were giving the outside a fresh coat of magnolia. Inside work on some of the rooms and tidying up some worn stair carpets.

Stayed for two days before going to the camp-site for Brighton Pride. The Hostel location could not be better, it overlooks the pier, and is in the middle of everything. The breakfast was basic toast-butter-spreads-cereal- hot drinks. The hostel was clean. We had a twin room which was a good size, they call it a two-bed dorm, the bathroom was... More

Stayed up on the third floor and I have to say the walkway up there is quite unpleasant, it has a dirty carpet that seems to be frayed and ripped on parts. My room however, was lovely and bright, spacious for 8 beds and quite clean. Very minimal but I didn't really mind and the bathroom was quite clean and... More

I booked this via hostelbookers for the incredible price of £8. As such I wasn't expecting much but the photos supplied by the business made me think I was onto a winner. However... The carpets are disgusting and haven't seen a Hoover in some time, with turned up corners and all sorts of grubbiness. The room was functional, with 4x... More

I spent a night (arrived on a Friday left the following day). The hostel is well located, just across the road from Brighton Pier and there are several restaurants and pubs nearby. It´s 20min walking from the Railway station and I saw a National Express bus stop in front of the hotel. If you are looking forward to spending 2... More

Stayed at Hostelpoint-Brighton for a night during Pride festival. Reception area is a bit outdated, but inoffensive. The receptionist, however, was very helpful and informative. I booked into a 6 bed female dorm which consisted of three bunk beds, a cage underneath the beds for personal possessions and a bathroom. As this was all I needed (and expected) it was... More

It's a bit dirty as I feel and shower head is broken. The bathroom was not good as I expect. The room we stayed was family room which I think it needs much refurbishment. Anyway, the reception was nice and its location is so good-close to the beach.

Rather than spend out on b & b or an expensive hotel, I opted for this hostel due to its ratings & reviews by others. It's exterior wasn't welcoming but is made up for by its excellent location near the seafront & pier. Close by are many bus stops, shops & eateries & the train station is about 20minutes walk...
