Considering how much coastline we have in this country it's surprising how hard it is to find hotels with great sea-views, rooms in which you can relax in comfort and some luxury, where high quality food and drink is on offer and where the staff are efficient without being stuffy and friendly without being pushy. We have stayed here a handful of times - and it is our continued preference for Brighton. Inspired design at start...but a bit passe now in a way (as many Boutique hotels are). This hotel is well worth trying if you want to be right by the Sea. Even though it is on the main sea front you can hardly hear anything if you are a light sleeper as the walls are very solid.
