Oh we love it here... A few years ago when our relationship was just gettting off the ground we visited Drakes and stayed in a city facing attic room. Excellent... Great location - convenient for walk-abouts to most of the central areas of Brighton - The Lanes, Pavilion, Museums, Shopping, Restaurants etc etc. Staff very attentive... just right..... Room was great with a fabulous sea view - stairs could be a problem for some though..... more

I stayed here with my boyfriend in september last year for our anniversary. Drakes is a boutique hotel offering great central location opposite the pier. Rooms seem expensive, toilet novel- no privacy. Little niggle was that carpets were frayed- but overall experience was good. more

Drakes was beautiful from start to finish. The staff of this tiny hotel were very friendly and laid back - not pretentious at all. The room was beautiful, immaculate with great facilities.
