What a lovely hotel. Stayed here as we needed somewhere cheap and cheerful for a one nights stay but we're pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel is bright and clean, the garden is a nice treat, the communal toilets in the bar are pristine and the staff are very friendly and helpful. When we arrived we were told that... More

This is am amazing review to start the Easter hols with so thank you so much and for visiting us from Hampshire. Langfords looks to provide good, old fashioned value for money and it is really kind of you to point this out to the other good folks visiting Trip Advisor Hopefully we can see you back before too long... Clean, very basic rooms. Tea/coffee making facilities, Decent small TV. All I needed for good nights sleep after being out and about in Brighton. Staff pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was really good and thoroughly enjoyed by all of the party I was with. For the price, in Brighton/Hove during Easter hols, about right. If you want 5 star, be prepared... More

What a super review and thank you so much for visiting from the delightfully named Wool in Dorset As you have kindly pointed out, the Langfords tries to do "what it says on the tin" as a value for money, mid-range hotel. Chef Krys is also over the moon and hopefully we can see you back here before too long... More

After reading some scathing reviews on TripAdvisor we were expecting a pretty dire experience this however, is far from true. We were greeted in a friendly and welcoming manor and told to enjoy our stay. We don't mind the stairs as we are fairly fit nineteen year olds however there was no lift so if you are unable to walk... More

We appreciated this no nonsense review and thank you for visiting from Devon. It is great to see Dawlish is recovering so well from the winter storms The Langfords has a great deal to offer and strives to provide value for money including a complimentary, super-fast guest WIFI. There is a lift in the property but it only services the... More

I visit Brighton a lot and trying to find a reasonably priced hotel is always a struggle. In the past I have tended to avoid small hotels, guest houses, b&bs etc. just anticipating that they will turn out to be dingy and cramped and awful and have bitten the bullet on paying often over £100/night at the mainstream hotels. However... More

What a super review and thank you so much. The fact that you take writing reviews so seriously means a great deal and the staff are over the moon, including Veronica on breakfast service and chef Krys The Langfords strives to offer value for money and with our complimentary, super-fast WIFI hopefully we are living up to this promise. I paid £40 for a room on a Friday night quite last minute, so wasn't expecting much from the quality or location of the hotel. The taxi ride from Brighton station was 10 minutes and cost £7.50, which was perfect for a late arrival. The street is pretty & quiet, but well situated in Hove with plenty of bars and... More

We were over the moon to read this review and the staff are delighted, so many thanks The Langfords has so much to offer and aims to provide the kind of value for money that you have described. There are also some great restaurants in the locale with Brighton city centre not that far away either Hopefully we can see... More

Stayed here from 17 -19th March. Room was very clean and bedding spotless and believe me I. Am picky. Had a lovely stay and no major gripes location and. Parking excellent. Did request a Lower room when we booked but were on second floor, not hotels fault as booked through late rooms and they didn't pass on request. Breakfast was... More

I booked this Hotel way back in January for three nights (Friday 14th- Monday 17th March), when we first arrived first impressions were not good, some easy TLC to the front of the Hotel like sweeping, picking up rubbish/cigarettes would have greatly improved things, however at the reception the staff were friendly and assisted with looking after our bags as... We were sorry to read this review and that your stay at the Langfords was not entirely satisfactory. Unfortunately a recent bout of staff sickness took its toll As we have made clear, we are making good progress with our refurbishment program with many of our guests noticing a real difference Hopefully when you next visit you will thoroughly enjoy... This is unfortunate and unexpected review which has, understandably, dismayed our staff Clearly had the concerns about the room been raised when the guest checked in we would have been in a position to find them alternative accommodation. We also work hard to ensure all our guests show consideration for both the hotel, its patrons and our neighbours so we... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Langfords Hotel in Hove is situated on a tree-lined avenue a short stroll from the shingle beach of Brighton and Hove’s historical seafront; only a fifteen minute walk from the bustling centre of the South Coast’s famous seaside resort of ‘kiss-me-quick’ Brighton. Although Brighton retains its cheeky reputation, it has grown up considerably since it merged with its immediate neighbour, Hove – when it became a new British city for the Millennium; a gift from HM The Queen! The combined treat of ‘Brighton & Hove’ officially merging, is that the City has become one of Britain’s most savvy twenty-first century Media Hubs – and The Langfords keeps pace happily, with conference packages to suit corporate delegates or for ‘start-ups’ in need of some space when meeting with clients…The Langfords is a lovely, red-brick Victorian building echoing with old charm and brimming with character. The hotel has 58 very well proportioned bedrooms (all with en-suite facilities), and the spacious lounge bar has direct access to our lawned gardens – perfect for relaxing in on those sunny summer days and warm evenings. We also have eight function suites and a reputation for excellent conference and wedding facilities. ... more   less
