The hostel is not for anything about youth, it is more like a shelter for older men,i really bot planning to go back, the promotions were confusing and they ended up making me pay more than the promotion, it is kind of far for the money they charge, and yes it was clean, and one of the receptionist was very... Would not recommend staying here. The light in the dorm share was broken and even though we asked reception to deal with it a number of times (other people in our room did so too), it was not fixed but instead we were given one single small lamp for an already very dingy room with 10 people staying. Staff weren't... More

a friend of mine recommended this hostel because its near to the beach. He did an awesome recommendation. This hostel is great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was quite spacious and clean. Lovely atmosphere. My friends and i enjoyed our stay here :) Not expensive... free breakfast... simplicity at its best! Thank you... More

This review will be fairly long so if you don’t want to read it all here is my verdict – DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS HOSTEL!! I would not have given this even one star if that was an option. 3 friends and myself had booked a group room for one night over the bank holiday weekend. We arrived in... More

A lovely little find, only improved with the addition of a fourth table tennis bat. As soon as mankind discovers a cure for Cat Aids, I'll be back................................................................

We wanted a cheap and cheerful place to stay while visiting family in Brighton. Unfortunately SOBO proved to be neither. At £98 for a double room we were at least expecting something on a par with a B&B, however, we found ourselves ot what appeared to be a hostel for drug users and alcoholics. Upon arrival in a dark and... More

Oh dear where do I start...?? Wish I'd read the reviews online and booked somewhere else but I figured 3 star would be decent (other hotels that came up on my Expedia search were only 2 star for the same price so I was tricked into booking this one ugh! big mistake!). We paid £106 for a double room for... More

Where to start.... The common area was like a dungeon with dim lighting and lagging wifi (the only place you could get wifi in the entire hostel). Uninformed staff who didn't know where the switch board was to reset when the kitchen power went out, taking over an hour to resolve. 2 am check ins and constant bed swapping, making... More

The reception and lounge was dark and grim. Didn't feel very welcoming. Didn't like the idea of triple bunks. Bit OTT with the lengthy security code to get into the room. Maybe a card would be better? Don't I don't get me wrong, I don't expect much for £15 a night but I've stayed in nicer for the same price... More

We spent two nights here in September on a weekend. It's just what I would have expected really - bunk beds (there were 3 of us), a desk, kettle and tea making goodies, toiletries for shower, towels and a TV. The room was clean and the shower worked fine, no noisy plumbing. The street was quiet and we parked in... More
