£120 for a box room. The TV doesn't work. There is a velux hatch/window in the ceiling. Vending machine in the foyer for tea and coffee, no facilities of that nature in the cupboa... Sorry room. This particular room is right at the top of the hotel on the 4th floor. There is no lift. Noise carries throughout the hotel.... More

stayed here for a long weekend in brighton with my wife back in september. room was lovely, nice and clean, good shower, comfy bed. great central location, no more than a few mins walk from anywhere you'd want to be in brighton. if i had to give a negative, it would be the lack of tea/coffe making facilities in the... The location is great, very central being just up from the beachfront. The management are friendly and helpful. The communal hotel spaces have been refurbished as have the rooms, but it's of a medium quality. It's more noticeable in the room that quality was sacrificed in the finishing and the room I had was very small. The door to the... More

Pros: - Great location with secure parking across the road - The hotel is family-run and all staff are friendly and helpful - VERY comfortable bed - No noise from neighbours or outside - Comparatively cheap - Fully refurbished - Immaculate Cons (for some people, didn't bother us): - No coffee/tea making facilities in the room N.B. there is a... After parking in the underground car park over the road we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Our room was at the top of the hotel and was spacious and spotlessly clean. The hotel was in a great location for the lanes, nightlife and beach. Yes it was a bit pricey but I would recommend staying here.

Friendly service, secure entry to the hotel, nice, spacious room with a view over the square - nice touch was the recliner sofa in front if the tv - usually have to watch tv from the bed in hotel rooms so this made a welcome change. Small bathroom but with a good shower. Clean room, clean towels. No breakfast but... More

This was our first trip to Brighton and it will not be our last. The hotel is located in a square off a main road. Our room was at the top of the hotel, facing the square. I would definitely recommend requesting a room on the top floor and facing this way if you are a light sleeper. The room... More

All the relevant details of this hotel have been covered in other reviews, so you’ll already know what you’re getting. My wife and I had a very pleasant two-night stay here on a scorching weekend. Being at the top of the hotel on the Regency square side, we weren’t bothered by either foot-falls on the laminate stairs or noise from... More

Location : Great! 5 mins saunter to the beach/bars/restaurants opposite the old pier. Rooms : Clean, Comfortable but we were there in a middle of a mini heat wave and they got very warm! Air con not currently working. Our room 161 overlooked the Regency Square but we enjoyed the vibe (people milling/picnicing on the park) No kettle in the... More

#7 On the Beach Hotel in Brighton
Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Topps is situated in the heart of Regency Square in three beautifully restored Regency period listed-buildings, ideally located within a short walking distance of Brighton Pier, Churchill Square Shopping Centre, Brighton Conference Centre, the Lanes and all that Brighton has to offer. The beach is less than 100 yards away and there is a multi-storey underground car park at our door-step. Regency Square is one of the oldest squares in Brighton directly opposite the old West Pier, soon to be home to the i360, a 600 foot tall observation tower.Topps has recently undergone extensive refurbishment. We have carefully restored the exterior of our buildings to their former glory. Most of our generously sized en-suite guestrooms have been renovated to a very high modern standard. Features include real wood flooring, flatscreen TVs with Freeview, comfortable new beds and well appointed bathrooms. A number of our guestrooms overlook Regency Square and have views of the sea. Some of our Executive Rooms are air-conditioned and we are working to extend this feature to all the rooms.Nearby Preston Street is home to many bars, clubs, discos and restaurants. The newly restored Victorian Bandstand is close-by where weddings and dancing fans take the center stage most weekends. If you are keen to try "Slacklining", the latest craze, you will find plenty of enthusiasts practising or showing off their skills on the beach in front of the old West Pier. Our aim is to provide our guests with modern, clean and comfortable accommodation. Based on feedbacks, our room-only rates are excellent value for money in Central Brighton for the high quality accommodation we provide. ... more   less
