we paid £105.00 for a twin room only. This hotel is well over priced! the room was large, but very outdated. The wall paper was coming away from the walls and the carpet had stains on it. The net curtains didn;t even reach the bottom of the window seal and the wall paper under neath the window was coming away.... More

We have no idea what has motivated such a harsh and rather trite critique Every guest has a choice and if these patrons were not happy with their room on check in, all they needed to do was let the management team know who would have made alternative arrangements for them More

We stayed here for the night and thoroughly enjoyed the spacious room and the fabulous sunken jacuzzi bathtub. The location is perfect for those that want to be out of the immediate noise and bustle of Brighton city centre and enjoy a short walk along the seafront. And £5.50 for 24 hours on road parking - brilliant! The check in... More

Stayed for 2 nights whilst attending an Optometry conference. The first night i didn't sleep so well - the mattress was firmer than what i was used to and the pillow fuller - both conspired to give me a crick in the neck in the morning. I asked reception staff for a mattress topper for the next night - instead... More

Thank you for choosing the Imperial and for your thoughtful remarks We have a clear vision for the hotel and while our priority is to conclude the external renovations to the rear [bringing our total spend on the outside to over £200,000] we are working on various internal projects. For example our multi-talented maintenance support - Jacky - is also... More

I needed a single room for a stag night out in Brighton and the Imperial was just a 20 minute walk along the seafront into the city. Upon arrival I was told there were no single rooms left but I was getting upgraded to a double. The room was large and clean and ideal for me as I was just... More

Great location in a nice area. Close to the sea and a great price. Room was comfortable and clean, staff were really friendly and the breakfast was good. Would definitely stay again. Parking easy and nice 15 minute walk to Brighton centre

We really enjoyed reading this review and thank you so much. You were a delightful guest and we are very much looking forward to your next visit The Imperial strives to offer value for money and has a great location. With her glossy new coat she is looking lovely now that the sun is putting his hat on more regularly More

Friendly and efficient staff. The room was fine for 1 or 2 nights, but for any longer we would have requested a larger room, which we understood could have been provided ,within the same category. The lounge was excellent and breakfast well presented. We do intend to use the hotel regularly when visiting our daughter

So I've only stayed here once but I had a present stay. The hotel is very Central & the buses are regualr & only up the road. It's a warm hotel & the sea front is two seconds away. The only downside I could see is the hotel doesn't do food & what's with the showers? It's like a dripping... More

Thank you for this review, more so as a Senior Contributor. As we mentioned in an earlier review here, provision of daytime and evening food does present its own dilemma with so many great places locally. We do however keep the issue under active review and it is about trying to strike the right balance We were sorry to learn... More

Good location, right on the sea front. Taxi into the lanes is £5.60 (after midnight) Parking was easy to find a space in zone N. Permit is £7 for one calendar day. Need to get a new one or move the car by 9am the next morning. Rooms are big, bed is big and comfy. Bathroom was small. Shower was... More

We always relish hearing from Top TripAdvisor contributors so thank you so much for this critique and, of course, your custom You make some excellent comments about the Imperial, which is well located and strives to provide value for money. As you may have noticed, we are busying ourselves in completing the external works - a £200k program - then... More

Location location......could not ask for better. bus stops close by. the sea around the corner and walking distance to brighton and hove shopping. Staff always pleasant and helpful. My only negative is there are no meals available. I feel there should be some sort of service here. Even small pub meals, toasted sandwich burgers. I have been a few times... More

Thank you so much for this review and being a loyal customer We keep the question of food [other than breakfast which is of course a given] under active review but a really tough issue to call, with so many great places locally to eat. Then again, sometimes it is great to be able to stay put especially if the... More
