I was there on business and booked a single room on Laterooms for £45. It was great value. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly. It is just off the seafront in Hove so don't think you're really in Brighton. Walk up the road and you are in Church Road with lots of restaurants and places to... more

The Imperial has a dreadful frontage with missing tiles and a very tatty hairdresser next to the entrance - makes a truly awful impression. The staff were without exception, delightful, efficient and extremely helpful - full marks. The room and bathroom were clean, with dated decor, but in reasonable condition. The matresses are rather hard. Our room was small, but... more

Upon arrival for my two day break i found the staff very friendly and helpful. I booked myself into a single room which was of adequate size with all of the expected amenities and extremely clean. The full english breakfast was very nice and the portion sizes adequate. There was a variety of food to choose from. Although the decor... more

Basically okay, but sheets stained (eugh), overflow pipe from the bath was cracked, which flooded my bathroom, and they tried, very determinedly and rather rudely, to overcharge me for breakfast. I thought £6.95 was already quite expensive for a continental breakfast. Apart from this, the staff were helpful and friendly ... overall though, I really wouldn't recommend this. Other people... more

Three of us stayed in the Imperial last Saturday night (1 Dbl & 1 Sgl). The single was upgraded to an executive upon arrival. Both rooms were on the first floor and upon entering we were pleased with the massive bay windows and overall ceiling height. The decor is dated both in room and bathroom, but is kept very clean... more

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel on last minute.com. We weren't sure where the hotel was situated but the hotel details were a bit misleading stating that it was minutes from the town centre. So be prepared for alot of walking. Having said that pleasantly surprised with with our stay at the hotel. The staff were all very friendly... more

Just returned home from 2 night bank holiday stay at The Imperial Hotel, Brighton. Had a great time especially as weather was supposed to be awful on Sunday, (in fact spent a couple of hours eating and drinking alfresco in fantastic sunshine! I booked the hotel very late, only a few days before and so didn`t really expect any bargains.... more

I advise you to read the other reviews if you are planning on staying... my little tale is more about the approach to service... My mother lives on the same street as the hotel and her boiler decided to pack in on xmas eve. It had been a couple of days since i had nice hot shower as i'd just... more

The hotel was clean and the receptionist was very helpful, but the decor was very dated (far too many patterns in one room). It took us about 10-15 minutes to walk into the centre of Brighton, which would be fine in the summer but a bit far in the December gales and rain that we encountered. The lowpoint of our... more

The hotel itself is nothing much (though nothing bad) - clean bathroom and standard decor... We were kept up all of first night by rowdy guests whom the night porter could not control. Apology was fine and we got complimentry breakfast but it took us a while to settele that... Otherwise, quiet and reasonable - a bit too far away... more
