Just returned home from 2 night bank holiday stay at The Imperial Hotel, Brighton. Had a great time especially as weather was supposed to be awful on Sunday, (in fact spent a couple of hours eating and drinking alfresco in fantastic sunshine! I booked the hotel very late, only a few days before and so didn`t really expect any bargains.... more

I advise you to read the other reviews if you are planning on staying... my little tale is more about the approach to service... My mother lives on the same street as the hotel and her boiler decided to pack in on xmas eve. It had been a couple of days since i had nice hot shower as i'd just... more

The hotel was clean and the receptionist was very helpful, but the decor was very dated (far too many patterns in one room). It took us about 10-15 minutes to walk into the centre of Brighton, which would be fine in the summer but a bit far in the December gales and rain that we encountered. The lowpoint of our... more

The hotel itself is nothing much (though nothing bad) - clean bathroom and standard decor... We were kept up all of first night by rowdy guests whom the night porter could not control. Apology was fine and we got complimentry breakfast but it took us a while to settele that... Otherwise, quiet and reasonable - a bit too far away... more

clean bathroom and standard decor, kept up all of first night by rowdy guests whom the night porter could not control. Apology not enough to redeem the spoiled night. Otherwise, quiet and reasonable. Breakfast on the beach front good. more

I got a great rate on lastminute.com for the room (£40) during the week for a one night stay. The hotel was in good condition, easily accesible by bus from Brighton train station and very very clean. Breakfast prices were far too high and there seemed to be a consistent staff shortage. Whether that is a reflection of the more... more

Booked hotel phoning them directly at very short notice (4pm on the day) and charged £60 for a single room incl breakfast. OK, the room was a bit small, but it was nicely furnished and clean and couldn't fault it, although the shower attachment to the bath was a bit old fashioned. The reception staff were very friendly,as were those... more

Right by the sea front and walkable to the shops of Brighton. Parking isn't easy in the season, and you have to pay regardless. The room was fine although tv stations are a bit hit and miss. There is a tiny lift and you won't want to climb the steep stairs, especially if like me, you're on the 3rd floor.... more

Stayed here for two nights whilst working in Brighton, booked through laterooms, for £65 a night RO. resturant is poncey and not worth bothering with, otherwise an enjoyable stay, large well equiped room . Good location, very close to the sea, a bit of a walk into Brighton, but it does not claim to be in Brighton, it is in... more
