So I've only stayed here once but I had a present stay. The hotel is very Central & the buses are regualr & only up the road. It's a warm hotel & the sea front is two seconds away. The only downside I could see is the hotel doesn't do food & what's with the showers? It's like a dripping... More

Good location, right on the sea front. Taxi into the lanes is £5.60 (after midnight) Parking was easy to find a space in zone N. Permit is £7 for one calendar day. Need to get a new one or move the car by 9am the next morning. Rooms are big, bed is big and comfy. Bathroom was small. Shower was... More

Location location......could not ask for better. bus stops close by. the sea around the corner and walking distance to brighton and hove shopping. Staff always pleasant and helpful. My only negative is there are no meals available. I feel there should be some sort of service here. Even small pub meals, toasted sandwich burgers. I have been a few times... More

Visiting out daughter, who lives in First Avenue, Hove. So the Imperial is the perfect location. Stayed at the Imperial for Saturday 21/2/15 - great room, excellent location, just off the beach front and for Brighton and Hove's restaurants and shops. We found the hotel warm, friendly and we were very comfortable, with parking literally outside!. Would visit again.

Thank you for this super review and what a fun way to spend your time in Hove, visiting your daughter. Good fortune too that your daughter lives in First Avenue which will hopefully mean we can welcome you back before too long Please make sure you book direct with the hotel so that we can guarantee you our best rate... I stayed here with my partner and young son this weekend, and paid £140 for double room without breakfast. Very very poor. Despite emailing in advance to request a travel cot, on arrival there was no cot. A cot then arrived, with no mattress- they couldnt provide one. We then asked for a towel so we could shower. Sorry no... More

Clearly a disheartening review for all stakeholders and we are sorry you experienced some challenges insofar as the cot was concerned. I have asked the hotel for a full report so that we may reach out to you More

I had a lovely stay in this hotel. My family and I only stayed for one night but first impressions were good and we agreed we would visit again. We were going to Brighton for a family arrangement and decided to phone up to book roughly a week in advance because other members of the family were staying there. The... More

Thank you so much for this review and for the support your family showed us in visiting. We are nearly there with the external renovations with just the back of the hotel to complete in the Spring. Of course we greatly appreciate the continued forbearance of our patrons meanwhile The teaspoon cavalry have arrived and it is the darnedest thing... More

A family group of us stayed here in February. It was in a great location very close to the sea front and we enjoyed walking along the prom to the centre of Brighton. The hotel rooms and public areas could do with a bit of a face lift but everywhere was clean and the rooms were comfortable. The staff were... More

Thank you so much for writing and visiting us from Nottingham We are really pleased that overall your stay was enjoyable for as you say the Imperial has a great deal to offer. As we conclude our external works [now only the rear of the hotel to renovate] we can then focus more on inside. Thus far we have remodelled... More

We had a spontaneous day away. The Imperial is a classic updated seaside amenity, a warren of levels reached by winding stairs & cosy lifts. The hotel could not have been more accommodating & our night's sleep was blissful. We received accurate & timely advice from the hotel staff about parking & local amenities, and they were on attentive duty... More

I also stayed at the imperial on a night out with Lucy B. Lucy's room was incredibly out-dated however my room (a twin room on the 4th floor) was much lighter and comfortable. Before our night out for a friends birthday we checked with 2 receptionists that the hotel was 24hours, they agreed that it was and we left for... More

As this guest has been kind enough to acknowledge this matter has already been raised in an earlier review and we would, of course, hasten to reiterate our apologies that there was a delay occasioned by the night porter having to attend on another guest in their room, which was something of an emergency More

As a frequent visitor to Brighton, my wife and I decided to give the Imperial a try, we've stayed at a number of hotels when visiting the vibrant and fun seaside town of Brighton. The Imperial surprised us, yes its dated, the decor is early 1990's, but its clean, its tidy, the staff are very friendly, especially the two staff... More
