This hotel has received a severe slagging in previous reviews and, having read them, I approached my visit with trepidation. However, it wasn't as bad as I imagined it would be. The staff were very helpful as long as you explained everything you required in words that cats and dogs could understand; the majority are from south-central Europe, which explains... more

This one's also known as the Park Inn and was just opposite the beach and close to the town centre so was a great location. It's a bit of a walk from the pier (say 20mins) but a cab is only a fiver. And if you want to find public parking it seemed better to be a bit further where... more

We had our wedding reception at this hotel and despite reservations from the reviews we had read on this site we had a lovely experience. Laura was very helpful in the organising and Paul was fantastic and faultless on the day. The staff were very attentive and polite, the food was excellent, and the room and ambience was beautiful, relaxed... more

We were after a hotel in Hove, but close enough to walk into Brighton – the hotel hit the spot here. However after that it was rather disappointing. Decor downstairs certainly raises your expectations, and the bedrooms on first glance aren’t too bad. Unfortunately once in your room you notice the dirty, stained (almost sticky) carpet, broken lampshade, missing electric... more

Lansdowne Place is now called the Park Inn Brighton. When we arrived there was no one on reception and the man who turned up was unable to find our booking because he was not familiar with the system. After a small wait another lady turned up who could work the system, and thankfully she did find our booking. The lobby... more

Stayed for one night and I am glad it was not for a longer period, as the room was small and noisy. It did not help that we were placed in a room off the landing, which shaked whenever the lift was operated. Besides that, the spa and restaurant were nice. more

My fiance booked this hotel for a one night stay over the May bank holiday and i was rather apprehensive having read the mainly negative reviews on here. I would say overall it was a very nice hotel. The decor in reception and bar is very stylish and sets a nice impression of the hotel. As some others have mentioned... more

First stayed here three years ago and was v impressed a real boutique atmosphere. Arrived yesterday and v disappointed to discovered it had become a Park Inn that day. It was looking v shabby and the house keeping needs a bit of work!!. The staff were v good and attentive. We were given complimentary breakfast because we mentioned how we... more

From start to finish the spa is fantastic, excellent surroundings, superb treatments and excellent customer service from staff ,very attentive and would reccommend to anyone.(providing not to many people in spa at one time) The hotel not so fantastic from arrival parking was minimal and charged at £15 overnight. There is no door staff and no porter in reception although... more
