We were a bit apprehensive when we'd read the reviews on here, but we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in one of the standard rooms, although the view was of other rooms, because there’s an outside space between two corridors the door opened and the room didn’t get too hot, which you do find in a lot of hotels. The... more

I stayed here in the Ramada Jarvis in May 2006 and vowed never to stay here again. Unfortunately, I had no choice. I was not looking forward to my stay but I needn't of worried. The hotel had been cleaned up and the rooms refurbished. I was lucky enough to be given a sea view. Breakfast is ok. Overall, I... more

My Fiancee and I stayed here for the weekend and had the worst weekend of our lives. The Staff didn't seem to know what they were doing and everything seemed to be a hassle for them. We had a check-in for 12 noon but couldn't get into our room til 2pm. We were meant to have an executive double as... more

We were not very impressed by the Ramada when we stayed two nights over bank holiday weeekend. The room was small, our 'view' was of a wall and fire escape, the room was too hot, the hotel was noisy with a reception going on and people coming in drunk- the sound carried all too easily into the room from the... more

My wife and I have just returned from a most enjoyable week at the Ramada Jarvis in Brighton. From the moment of our arrival we were given a warm welcome and the reception staff were most helpful in checking in. We had booked an executive room and whilst we had no seaview, the room was very spacious, clean and comfortable.... more

We chose the hotel in preference to a Travelodge or Premier Inn as it was to be a special occasion night away, and we wanted something more than just basic accomodation. We were dealt with on arrival by a disinterested and unsmiling receptionist and sent to a tiny and hot room and a minute bathroom. No wardrobe at all, just a... more

Arrived at this hotel on the 28th of March for one night to be told that the only reservation they had for us was for the 2nd of August! When finally given a room which was meant to be have been an upgrade I felt if anything it was a downgrade!! The view was dreadful, an old scatty building. The... more

I really liked this hotel, was only £49 for a nice double room overlooking a mini courtyard. very clean room with everything functioning perfectly. Great little bathroom although only good for showers as boyfriend did struggle to get his 6ft frame in! Very good location on the seafront about 10 minutes walk from the lanes. Hotel had a stunning exterior.... more

Stayed here saturday 21st March for one night with my boyfriend. We booked an executive double, with breakfast for £76 which was a bargain. No view but didn't care for one night, room was very big, including a sofa and huge bed and lovely brand new bathroom with a very strong power shower, and also free TV (music, movies etc... more

Jan 26, 2009 | Trip type: Family

We booked 2 Double bedrooms for two nights. Both had simply awful and depressing bathrooms. Though planning a relaxing weekend break for the family, I could only tolerate one night in such a depressing environment before I happily moved on. Definitely the worst bathrooms we've ever experienced in a 3 star establishment; plus the hotel's not in the same league... more
