A lovely hotel, with a seafront location. We had an upgraded room (501) top floor with dual aspect windows, superb sea views. Reception staff were all very helpful, pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again

We've recently stayed at The Kings Hotel for the 6th or 7th time and we've been really pleased each time we've stayed. We usually pay extra for a deluxe room at the front of the hotel with a sea-view. These rooms are very spacious and have good sized bathrooms, which we really like. Great location. Staff have always been great.... More

What a find! The west pier end of Kings Rd right on sea front (our preferred end) . Very recently refurbished - lovely top floor room with a beautiful bathroom. Rooms bright and airy. When booking online asked for a seaview if at all possible and we got that which was just super. Will most definitely go back and recommend... More

I see alot of moaning about this hotel but it is in fact one of the cheapest places to stay on the seafront. I think this place has promise, the lobby is nicely decked out and judging by the website some of the rooms are too. The problem I had was that the website only seemed to show the lovely... More

Booked one night over the May day bank holiday, I wish I had read the reviews before I booked because I would never stay here again. I paid for a superior double room, which when I got there was right at the back of the hotel on the lower floor and all we could see outside the window was a... More

Prepaid, some months in advance, for a Superior Room with Seaview. For Sat. night only. This was £175 after discount. On arrival, no parking at all,so budget for another £12.50 per night.Lift for only 3 people and hotel was packed. The Seaview looks at the burnt out shell of the Old pier, and the room is very small...and noisy .Constant traffic noise all day and... Stayed for one night to get away and didn't know what to expect as this was a good price for a sea front hotel and had read some poor reviews. However the reception staff were very helpful, allowed us to check in early and offered an upgrade to a room with a sea view for a further £10. This was... More

I've stayed at this hotel with my husband and my daughter. This hotel has tiny rooms. Reception clerk are not polite and never say hello mainly the spanish girl...please note that they charge the whole stay upon arrival and do not refund if you leave earlier ( for exemple if one of your family died, and you need to leave... I stayed here recently on a busy night when most other hotels were booked. My reticence in booking it in the past (I stay in Brighton regularly) was vindicated. The night receptionist who checked us in was clueless. The room, which was supposed to be a double but was actually a twin (it was late and we were tired and... More
