I arrived in Brighton on a busy Easter weekend looking for a hotel for two nights... I was alone with my son and out of 12 hotels this was the most helpful! The guy ( maybe the manager) ? Was so amazing! Phoned around for us as he was full... Just totally helpful and exactly what hotels are missing!! Friendly... More

The Umi is not the flashest hotel in Brighton but you will never find better value for money in this town. I have stayed here twice and both times they have upgraded me to a seafront room, I paid a fraction of what people in the neighbouring hotels have paid. The breakfast is quite standard but at £5 in Brighton... More

I stayed here for 3 nights whilst at a conference. Can honestly say I had a lovely time, beautiful rooms, clean, comfortable, wonderful views of the sea from the room I was in. The staff are so helpful and friendly, especially Liam who was great to our party of delegates. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even when our... More

Good room over looking the sea but pricey at £140 a night - think the key with this hotel is to book ahead direct for a better price. The staff here are excellent friendly helpful and chatty. No noise at all in room (third floor). Breakfast rather average in quality but the room you have breakfast in is so kitsch... More

Dear Madam Thank you for taking the time to post a review on Trip Advisor and your lovely comments about the team, they try so hard to deliver high customer service and is great when this is recognised . Our breakfast is a standard buffet, admittedly with no extras but we feel at £4.95 to eat all you can is... More

I had read a few reviews of this hotel before we arrived so I was fairly confident that we would be pleased and thankfully this hotel did not disappoint. It was in a good location on Brighton's seafront but was still near enough to the amenities like the train station and The Brighton Centre. We were thinking it would be... More

I was in Brighton for 5 nights for work. The room was spacious and had everything you'd expect of a hotel, Shower had great water pressure and the bed was huge! and comfortable. The hair dryer was quite dated and the 'air-con' was a ceiling fan, the TV was very far away from the bed which made it difficult to... More

Dear Guest Thank you for your review, which is much appreciated. Having air con in English hotels is by no means the norm, however 50% of our rooms do have full air conditioning units and the remaining 50% are supplied with ceiling fans. We have realised through guest feed back we do have a handful of rooms that are so... More

Ok. I will start with what I was not pleased about regarding this hotel which I promise isn't too much. Firstly the window in my room had an off-putting stain on it which I thought could have more than easily been removed (not that it mattered too much as I didn't have a view). Secondly the telephone was giving trouble... More

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to post a review on trip advisor, your comments about our receptionist Steph are lovely and have made her day, especially as she only worked for us at Umi for a couple of months. Please accept my sincere apologies that housekeeping were not up to their usual high standard with regards your... More

Stayed at the Umi hotel, to celebrate my husbands birthday, had an upgrade on arrivals to a suite overlooking the sea.(room 109) which was lovely , super big bed, plenty of rooms, bath was a bonus as the weather on arriving was grim, so a long soak was just what was needed. A little street noise on a couple of occasions in... More
