We booked this hotel because it is advertised as dog friendly. When we arrived we were checked in by a very arrogant receptionist who stated it was another £10 for our dog and a £50 deposit which would be retained 'until we have checked the room tomorrow to make sure everything is OK'. I explained that we had stayed in... More

Location ideal for pier and pavilion. Quality of buffet dinner and breakfast very satisfactory. Good dual aspect perfect for viewing marathon. Room quite comfortable. Extra heater rapidly supplied. Clearly has suffered storm damage but they seem to be addressing that. We had a happy and enjoyable time and great memories to take back. Would return.

ok - so booked this hotel as we were attending a gig at the Brighton Centre.Thought we would make a weekend of it and combine Brightons finest lanes etc and a nice hotel. Due to limited availablity locally we booked the Royal Albion. I x double and 1 x triple. It was by no means cheap and only just came... More

Good Very good value in December. The hotel's position in Brighton is superb, being right at the main junction of High Street/London Road and the seafront. It is directly across the road from the pier and other tourist attractions. I even parked right outside on pay and display for £3.50 at between 17.10 and 09.10. Had a great seaview but... More

Hadn't really read any reports & overnight stay was part of an Xmas Market weekend trip. Arrived in the dark so didn't really pick up on the neglected look of the outside of the hotel. A member of staff came on our coach to give us a quick briefing & to give us our room keys. Only one lift but... More

I stayed here at the beginning of December with a group of friends for a friends birthday. Firstly we booked all rooms together and requested to be close to each other. 3 of the rooms were next door to each other, mine was 3 floors above!!! After challenging this at check in, I was politely shrugged at and told tough... More

I am writing this review from the hotel. I surprised my husband for his birthday and wish I had not! As soon as you walk in there is an overpowering smell of damp. When we got into our room there was mould on the walls and it stunk, we asked to be moved, when we got to the next room... More

Just got back from an overnight stay at this hotel for a Christmas Party, group booking Having read some of the reviews I was a little worried However the hotel was better than expected. It is true that it is in need of some love and attention. My room however was quite nice. It was clean, tidy and warm with... More

After reading all these bad reviews - on my first stay here - I thought I just got really lucky with a good room! Now it's my fourth stay in one month - and I'm amazed by the service, my room is spotless, warm and spacious, with stunning sea views. I really can say I can't fault this hotel even... More

Booked one night at late notice as it was pretty much the only place in Brighton with a room left and I now know why, should have read the reviews before braving this place. The only plus side was location which is great. As most of the other reviews state the hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment, grimey paintwork... More
