Visited last month with our 3 you s children, we had a fantastic time. Apart from there being only 1 lift each way for the size of hotel (we were on 5th floor!) it was great value for money. Room was a little dated but come on, where can you stay as a family of 5 on a Saturday night,... More

Not a great first impression , you would think that as you arrive at a hotel you would be greeted with a friendly face, not at the royal Albion , the girl needed to finish her conversation with her work colleague first then we got "yes" not a good start .Then came the room all be it a beautiful large... Very nice staff Tristan on the desk very lovely. If all the rooms are as nice and to spec as ours was in the basement then i'd definitely stay again but just on a higher level to get reception. Great value.

Excellent location for exploring the Brighton Pier, Shopping District & Royal Pavillion. Walking distance to these locations. Right next to the coach drop off point in the city. I booked a single room for 5 nights & expected something extremely small, however I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door & found a huge room with a double bed... More

The reception staff were very polite and helpful. In fact, all dealings with staff were excellent. The (three bed) room was spacious and had a jacuzzi. The location is perfect and right on the seafront. There seemed to be smoking rooms available.

Pros: Great location Good rate Nice staff Good room Cons: Crap internet in room and in lobby Inability to turn off hearing which was set to full 2 lovely big windows looking out onto a... More

So I wanted to go to a cheap hotel. After living in Brighton for 3 years I was sad to have to actually rent a room for a night but hey ho it was one night and I was only going to sleep in it. It was the cheapest option but you at least expect the carpets to go to... More

Dear Jake, Thank you for taking the time to comment on The Royal Albion Hotel. We feel that it's unfair to book the cheapest room in the hotel and expect the same standard as our more expensive rooms at this vastly reduced price. We would be delighted to welcome you back to the hotel in future to enjoy what I... More

Stayed for fifth time and we aren't snobs but this was ridiculous. Stayed as couple in our 40"s and parents in 70"s. Rooms were what we describe in the dungeon. How this is legal is beyond us. No way out of fire. No windows. No room at all, for the price paid it was terrible. Room 114 reported repairs. Not... More

Dear Mellymingo, Thank you for taking the time to comment on The Royal Albion Hotel. Rooms 114 and 110 are both on the first floor. We do have several fire exit doors alarmed in our basement and ground floor. The are signs pointing to them in all corridors as is stipulated by law. My maintenance staff try to deal with... More

The hotel was very nice friendly staff nice and clean .just be aware the hotel is in the middle of a refurb so be a little forgiving ,until its all finished. Rooms are all clean and bright great views across the park. You do get a lovely welcome from the staff thanks for all your help Tristram Thomas.
