I read the reviews on the hotel and was very seriously thinking about cancelling my booking and staying at another hotel. I'm glad that I didn't do this as I found my room very comfortable, clean and with the facilities I needed for my 6 day stay. I booked a single room through expedia and the cost was very reasonable.... more

Stayed during heatwave at the end of June 09. The window in the room was screwed shut so we couldn't open it for a breeze, so we asked for a fan. Staff at least did provide one but it was a small deskfan, which had to be placed at the far end nr the only plug socket. So we had... more

Myself and six colleagues were booked into this hotel for a business trip. Upon arrival we we told that they did not have six rooms due to the renovation work currently taking place. The reception staff reluctantly agreed to move some of us to another hotel down the road. They then changed their minds, told us they did have rooms... more

When I originally arrived to check-in at the hotel, I was advised that there were no rooms available, despite the fact that my company had pre-paid for my room. After 10 minutes of fumbling, the receptionist produced a key and advised me I would be in the basement. Upon opening the door, I was greeted by a stained and frayed... more

This Hotel is, quite frankly, a disgrace. It has a beautiful facade and fools you in to thinking that it might have potential. Sadly not. This Hotel has somehow found it's way on to my company's list of preferred suppliers yet this is the first time that I had the misfortune to stay myself. I am now thoroughly embarrassed and... more

This place is a dump. It really should be demolished. The exterior is appalling with plaster falling off the building's entryway and mounds of cigarette butts littering the sidewalk. It looks worse than the dilapidated frat house in the movie "Animal House". The rooms were clean, yet filthy. I know that sounds like an oxymoron but imagine a vacuumed room... more

Thank you for your review. We are sorry some areas of your stay did not meet your expectations. As the hotel is a listed building, this sometimes impacts on the maintenance we are able to undertake. However, the hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, which will ensure all rooms are of the same high standard. It is pleasing to know that...

This hotel is a run down disgusting embarrasement to Brighton, With such a prime location you would think that it would be a jewel in Brighton's crown, however it isn't, even the tourist information staff at the Brighton Pavillion refuse to recommend this hotel, The Local Fire Service have made reports about the dangerous conditions at the hotel so it... more
