We have not one bad word to say about the Cavalaire. From the moment we walked in the service was first class and friendly. The room was very spacious and very luxurious with loads of lovely little touches. I was ill for most of our stay, so whilst my wife was out and about enjoying brighton, I spent all my... more

Where to start!? Stayed at this wonderful hotel with a couple of my friends last weekend - and really don't have a bad word to say! Derek and Garry have the most wonderful place! Perfectly renovated and with real love and attention to detail. We had their one triple room up on the 5th floor (Room 9) - OK so... more

A warm, incredibly welcoming and friendly small hotel. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome. A very clean hotel with those extra little touches that make your stay even more special. Lots of fresh flowers and information about brighton. Derek and Garry are always available to give you info on where is good to eat. Took their advice... more

Just returned home from a weekend break at the Cavalaire. Absolutely awesome experience. The photos on the web site do not do the place justice. We stayed in room 3 which was tastefully decorated and very very clean. The breakfast was excellent-far better than any we have had in the so called upmarket chain hotels. We wouldn't stay anywhere else... more

We were lucky that our usual (though, now unimaginitive) choice, the Hotel du Vin had no rooms available but that the Cavalaire did. If you are looking for clean, modern rooms, good breakfast and good service then the Cavalaire has them all. Our room (3?) was reasonably large though we had chosen to pay slightly more for a room described... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights to celebrate our joint birthdays. We arrived on Friday afternoon and struggled to find a parking space...that I felt would be "easy" to park in! But Derek soon persuaded me to squeeze into a spot right outside! And when I really was struggling, he was on hand to help! The Hotel... more

stayed here recently - nice hosts, great breakfast - well cooked, fresh fruit etc. but room was very small - felt a bit claustrophobic. Beauifully kept - but would prefer to stay somewhere larger next time more

This little Hotel/B & B redifines the traditional Bead & Breakfast experience. Warm Welcome - Clean and well decorated rooms with quality bedding etc. Bathroom in our room was a little on the small side, but to be fair we were offered an alternative room with a bigger bathroom if desired. Breakfast was superb - brand name cereals, real fruit... more

We spent a fabulous weekend at the Cavalaire, in the gorgeous surroundings of the lovely Room 3. It's often hard for hotels to be both friendly and stylish - you usually have to sacrifice one or the other - but here Garry and Derek manage to deliver both. The welcome was warm and genuine - we were greeted with a... more

Me and my girlfriend Ailsa stopped at this Hotel back in June. I was looking for a romantic break. The hotel got some good reviews on tripadvisor, but its better than I could have hoped. The decore is very luxurous, and the room we stopped in, had a four poster bed, and a huge plasma TV. But the thing that... more
