I subscribe to the view that you get what you pay for, so if you are looking for budget accomodation then this is not the place for you. According to one of the host owners Derek, the Cavalaire is unashamedly one of the most expensive B&B's in Brighton. So what do you get for your money? Firstly a pair of... More

Wow.....my wife and I had an amazing stay with Derek and Gary despite the weather the welcome was warm and genuine.....their knowledge of good eating and drinking spot on....and the breakfasts were well hearty, tasty and locally sourced. Yum. The room well stocked with refreshments and a bed as comfortable as home. We felt like guests in their home rather... More

We have been visiting the boys at the Cavalaire for the last 11 years now and we are never disappointed. A warm welcome, excellent accommodation and the best breakfast in Brighton - we've already booked for year 12! Alison and Craig

Even with the high rating on Tripadvisor, the Cavalaire surpassed our expectations! Derek was a warm and welcoming host, and knowledgeable about the local sights, restaurants and businesses in the area. The room and amenities were immaculate - a testament to the whole Cavalaire team. We had a superb cooked breakfast, and a tray of breakfast goodies was left in... More

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left our every need was catered for by our very friendly host, who made sure our stay both at the hotel and in Brighton was exceptionally memorable. This b&b is of a very high standard with carefully chosen and tasteful decor. Derek and Gary both work to their strengths and should... More

There is, frankly, no shortage of cute boutique B&Bs in London-By-The-Sea, which is why we spent a good deal of time choosing. Location is important, and for any light sleeper (like me), the heart of town, or Kemp Town, is rather noisy, especially at weekends. The Cavalaire is near to everything whilst being far enough not to suffer from club/pub... More

My girlfriend and I were looking to get away for the weekend in Brighton when we came across a deal that looked too good to be true to stay at The Cavalaire. This was our first weekend away together and also my first time in Brighton therefore choosing where to stay was pivotal. From the moment we arrived and stepped... More

My partner and I did a last minute trip to my old city, Brighton, and wanted a nearby hotel with great service, facilities and a comfy bed. This place exceeded all expectations (which were already high because of the ratings they'd received before) and it was such a wonderful experience for us both. The hosts were welcoming, breakfast a plenty... More

Just back from a wonderful stay at the Cavalaire. The standard of the rooms is very high, more like an hotel than a b&b. Everything was spotless, stylish and really comfortable. Great location. Derek and Gary were the perfect hosts - helpful, friendly, loads of local knowledge (and they serve a mean breakfast!). Looking forward to going back someday.
