My friend booked this Grand hotel for 1 night on 30th August to celebrate my 50th Birthday. We arrived too early to be able to go straight to our room, however a very helpful and friendly gentleman at the door took our bags allowing us to check in and continue with our day. We were treated to a welcome bottle... More

I stayed here in the 90s a few times and then defected to some of Brighton's more trendy hotels for the last ten years. However, after a very disappointing Hotel du Vin stay earlier this year, and as I have two young children, I thought I'd give the Grand another go. So glad I did. Called the day before the... More

Stayed here for one night and managed to get a special offer. The hotel is beautiful, the staircase is amazing and is a pleasure just to walk down. My room was beautiful with a huge bed and luxury bed linen with amazing soft pillows. The bathroom was decadent and finally a hotel that offers lots of hot water. a lovely... More

We have stayed at the Grand many times now, but this was our first visit since it has had new owners. The only differences we could detect were different toiletries, Cadbury's hot chocolate in rooms instead of Suchard (I like Suchard, but it is difficult to get these days) and the quality of the cooked breakfast, although I don't think... First, I would NOT recommend Brighton at all. It's really cheesy and trashy. There are a lot of stag and hen parties here, and the amusement park is worse than Coney Island. The beach is a gravel pit. Also, the traffic is terrible. Other than young people drinking, there is NOTHING to do here. Honestly, I saw A LOT better... More

Great hotel as we would expect, bit pricey but we love the hotel and staff alike. Avoid room 501 at the moment as like another comment the window is screwed shut as hinged is snapped. We moved rooms as I won't sleep without fresh air. 501 very stuffy. Breakfast is top notch

Stayed for one night (as a couple with 6mnth old) between house move. The rate was £99 inc breakfast... not bad. NEG: Struggled with buggy as no ramp to reception (2 friendly concierge guys gave us a lift instead) NEG: £10 charge for travel cot is cheeky (Never been charged anywhere else for travel cot) POS: Room on 2nd floor... Stayed here in 2008, 2009 and 2010. After my visit in 2010, I vowed never to go back as the whole stay was awful. Hearing the hotel had had a refurb, had a spa fitted and been sold, I took the plunge for a spa overnight stay. Upon arrival, the refurbished bar, restaurant and reception looked very good, staff friendly... More

This is a truly remarkable hotel. An iconic Victorian building, it stands centre stage on the vibrant Brighton seafront and is a local landmark. Magnificent, imposing and the epitome of luxury. This is The Grand, Brighton. Following a recent extensive refurbishment, The Grand experience is one you will never forget.
