The room was small, scruffy, TV was an old box which had terrible reception, the remote control only worked a couple of yards from the screen, free broadband was excellent. I'd recommend The Grand to my parents. Or Grandparents. I'd advise friends to go for a smaller, funkier alternative - lots of those to choose from in Brighton. Thanks to reading previous reviews we saved money by parking in the NCP behind the hotel which is around £10 less than the hotel car park for 24 hours. The Grand really is in a great location, right on the sea front and close to the main shopping area. The road outside is very busy which could be a problem... more

No problems with the Grand on a return visit. Service cannot be faulted. Bedroom excellent & with sea view. Bathroom a little dated but still of good quality. Exceptional breakfast with high quality ingredients. Parking facilities ok but worth a little inconvenience for this location. Most comfortable bed ever ! Public rooms grand and impressive.
