We stayed here for two nights and found that it is perfectly located, overlooking beach and pier, in the heart of Brighton. Inevitably vast and slightly impersonal, but a spectacular building in a splendid location. I found my room slightly noisy in the morning, and the bar was expensive (even the staff laughed when I declined the offer of a glass of very ordinary-looking Chablis at £14 a glass), overall perfectly respectable in in some ways quite fun. more
