First - this is a budget hotel, rooms only, no breakfast, no other facilities. You get a room with a bed and bathroom. If you want more from your hotel then move on. I was visiting Brighton for an eveing Rugby match and as trains back to London finish relatively early I decided to find a budget hotel - I... More

Not even close to be worth paying the prices they charge! I stayed here for one night in room three and it was clear from the beginning that the cheapest job had been done on the deco. firstly the mattress and bed were obviously very old, the mattress was very uncomfortable with the springs really digging in to your back.... When we arrived at the sandlewood I had arranged to book one of the two car spaces to be told that I couldn't park there because I wasn't on the list tl stay there. Do finally after getting them to check that I had booked a room they finally gave me the keys. The girl had no idea what she... More

Stayed here Friday night for one night with my boyfriend, the place needs a complete make over. The room was cold, the showeroom was disgusting, my boyfriend had to stand crouched in the shower as he was too tall for it, he is 6ft 2 so not abnormal size for a bloke. The toilet was all stained, the kettle took... More

The hotel was absolutely awful, on arrival, the staff were shocked and seemed completely oblivious to the fact we were staying in the hotel. Apart from that, she was fairly helpful, however the rooms were absolutely appalling, blinds were broken and so was our toilet seat, there was no radiator and the sheets looks filthy! So we therefore refrained from... More

Stayed for one night on Feb 14 in top room which was supposed to accommodate 3 people. However there was only two of us. I think you might call the room 'work in progress'! Water pressure was awful, heater was rubbish, television didn't work, no way of turning off the light once you got into bed, no bedside tables or... More

Stayed last night with 2 friends for a night out in Brighton. There are 2 parking spaces available at the front of the property which you can reserve, well worth it, however, if you have a large car, you may struggle to get it on the parking space, mine was on the pavement too. Got inside, the smell was vile,... More

Stayed for one night with my two young children. Room was fairly ok, apart from kettle being filthy. The bathroom however was very dirty, toilet seat lid completely broken off and balanced on top of the broken toilet seat. A drawer under the sink had 2 rusty blades in which any one of my children could have picked up. a... More

After reading the reviews I came prepared with my own pillow case, although the room wasn't brilliant it was better than expected, could be a very nice and modern budget hotel but some serious investment is required

Having read awful reviews, I was seriously considering not even turning up, but do - if you're not too fussy a person. Yes, it's an old building in need of overall update but it's a fab location and I was greated by friendly lady. Reception area was painted nicely. I asked to see my room first and yes small and...
