Booked this for an overnight stay in Brighton as had tickets for a gig at St George's Church. This hotel is in a perfect location for both this venue, the beach and the town centre. We were fortunate to get a parking space outside the hotel which we felt was reasonably priced for a whole day's parking. We didn't need... More

We stopped here whilst attending conference. Position good, a 10 min walk to conference centre along front. Hotel comfortable and clean, Although bed was a tad too soft for my liking. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very helpful and pleasant. On check in we had a small bottle of wine left in room and daily bottles of water left... More

We stayed here for two nights Sat/Sun evening , location very good position but extremely noisy through the night so don't expect to sleep! Not only is there constant noise from party revellers but also early morning deliveries to the pub next door! That said the staff here are very nice and the room we stayed in was spacious but... Four stars??? I don't know where they got that from. Clean, but slightly tatty little hotel. The thing that put me off was my room smelt like it hadn't been cleaned. My bed sheets smelt used and reeked of someone who was a heavy smoker. In the morning I woke up with the smell all over my body. Shame as... More

We stayed for three nights in the Kempfield guest house to see the sights of Brighton. The location is very good for access to all the well known attractions but is also in an area with a lot of noise from late night/early morning revellers. The staff are delightful, the breakfast up to standard and the hotel is generally very... More

This hotel is very inviting situated within easy walking distance of both the beach and centre of Brighton with many amenities just minutes away. I was greeted by a very nice young lady and shown to my room which was much bigger than most hotel rooms in Brighton. I went for a superior room as it was not much difference... More

First the positive, convenient for all of Brighton without being too in the centre, lovely helpful staff, breakfast very good, the quality and choice better than many hotels, room and bathroom very clean and tidy with a larger than usual bed. Whole hotel beautifully clean, I even saw the steps to basement swept and cleaned. Negatives, bathroom being a wet... More

A lovely bed and breakfast close to all the local attractions in brighton. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Would stay here again.

We stayed in March 2014. We were in a superior room. The Staff were most helpful and the premises was spotless. Breakfast was first Class. The guest house is in a very central location close to the pier and about 15 minutes walk to the railway station. We will certainly return

First the good points. We were met very warmly by all the staff at Kempfield House, the location was very central and the breakfast was very good as well. However, in no particular order, are the bad points. 1) Very noisy particularly from other guests due to poor sound proofing. 2) Bathroom ceiling peeling away. 3) Bathroom plumbing very bad.... More
