Last minute booking with friends, one double & one single room. Excellent communication with staff, happy to help and accommodate you. Good price considering location (near sea front). Only issue was the parking along the road as it was busy at time of our arrival (8:35pm) and it was confusing of which road/s our 'zone' for our parking permit was... More

What a lovely place to stay. We were in Brighton for a few nights, staying here for a night before moving on to stay with family. We were greeted by the lovely Monica who was helpful and friendly at all times. The room was spot on, fab location, lots of nice touches and a super breakfast. When we next visit... More

Perfect location, great for pubs and cafes. Friendly helpful greeting. Reception only staffed until 6pm.The Preston room faces the road and is tiny. When checking if we'd left anything in the room we found a dog end under the bed. Also found a hat that someone had dropped behind the dressing table. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want... We (my husband & son) stayed at Kempfield house for one night to celebrate our daughters' birthday at a nearby restaurant. Right from the start to the booking up until the departure couldn't have been any better. The staff were friendly in this lovely old house! So much charm - even if the seagulls were a little noisy! (ear plugs... More

We booked Kempfield House as an alternative to the dreary Travelodge which was ridiculously expensive for a Saturday night in Brighton. My partner and I were going to visit his Family in the Preston Park area for 2 nights in November. After much research on various hotel websites I came across this little gem which offered 2 nights accommodation in... More

Just stopped at the Kempfield house for 1 night while we visited relatives in Brighton so only a short review. We arrived at the Kempfield and was meeted very politely by a young lady who couldn't do enough for us telling where to park and showing us to our room the hotel did the job it was intended to do... The room we were given had a very pronounced sloping floor. We had to switch around and sleep with the pillows at the foot at the bed, otherwise our feet would have been above our heads! Very uncomfortable mattress as well, leading to a very poor night's sleep. There was a throw on the bed that clearly had not been... More

Stayed at this hotel with family with all 3 couples were really happy with rooms. Not the most modern rooms but was everything you could possibly need. Nice touch of chocs and a small bottle of wine in the room. Great location really near the pier and a good spot for shops and restaurants. Staff really helpful. Parking isn't great... More

Visited for a mini break & wasn't too sure on what to expect as not been to central Brighton before, however, we were exceedingly thrilled when we arrived at Kempfield House & were shown our room by a lovely young lady who couldn't do enough to help us. The room was spotless from top to bottom, with superb extra touches... More
