Really loved the hotel and everything it had to offer. We loved the design and the artwork that was there. Staff were great, breakfast was delicious and the room was really homely. Would definitely recommend and stay again

On the plus: * Interesting artfully decorated rooms. * Nice Roberts radio playing retro station in the room with nice lighting and cosy warm when we arrived. * Nice breakfast. * Comfy round bed. * Sash window, can be romantic with sea breeze (not so well insulated) On the minus: * Very small TV. * Orange juice from carton. *... This is the most eclectically designed, welcoming, inviting and exciting place to stay in Brighton. The rooms are cosy but full of character, the breakfasts are to die for (definitely have the halloumi) and the staff are super helpful and friendly. The ambience and the décor make me want to stay forever.... Whilst this isn't possible, I'll definitely be back!

Going to Brighton in winter you may be worried that you would get a little cold but during our stay at the artist residence I always felt warm and cosy. Having never been there before I wasn't sure what was around the hotel which would be good to see and where would be good to eat but the staff were... More

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for two nights on a trip which was booked as a birthday surprise for me (romantic type break away together from the kids!) We just can't recommend it enough. We had a fantastic stay, really kind and friendly helpful staff. Perfect complimentary breakfast, which we couldnt wait to eat again the second... More

We had arranged a surprise party and had various family travelling from assorted areas, and kept extending bookings as each party confirmed. Here begins the best thing about the hotel - the staff. They could not have been more helpful, thoughtful, patient and organised. From the booking, arrival, duty of care to assist us in the evening as we all... More

We are just back from a 2 day break at Artist Residence and couldn't wait to say how much we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is lovely, very quirky with interesting decor in the rooms and set in an elegant square. We had a sea view and although the room wasn't the largest it had everything we could need, including... More

Was going for a couple of nights in Brighton and this was by far the cheapest option. We opted for the Tiny Arty Sea View which was a perfect base, small and basic but all we needed and perfectly adequate. Book directly and enjoy the complimentary breakfast which was incredibly good. We were made to feel very welcome and the... More

There are times when TA really delivers and pointing us towards the Artist Residence in Brighton was definitely one of those. What a terrific little boutique hotel this is! The cool and quirky eccentricities wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste I’m sure, but we thought everything was utterly perfect throughout our 2 night stay (I think our heads are probably in... More

Visited for a romantic weekend. Perfect location for walking around Brighton. We had the last available room which was the suite. It was on the lower ground floor and total luxury. The entire hotel is brilliantly decorated as you'd imagine from the photos. Perfectly clean too. The breakfast was served until 11am which was great for a lie in. It's... More
