Situated in possibly one of the nicest areas in brighton, with antique shops and plenty of restaurants/ bars within walking distance. I stayed here for a weekend in February 2015 in room 10, on arrival the hotel was warm and clean, the owner was kind enough to direct us in the way of cheaper parking and as our room was... More

this hotel is warm, comfy and the shower is quite powerful, pretty much most of what I look for in a hotel. it is reasonable close to the town but doesn't have any of the niceties of a more expensive hotel such as WiFi or breakfast but hey, you know what you sign up for I can totally understand why... Bed, shower, tea, toilet this place has all those things. Cheap and cheerful a place to rest your head and still be near the sea front. If your planning on just sleeping and cleansing then very recommended.

I stayed here for one night with a friend on a Thursday in August. On the positive side, the location was great; 5-10 minute walk to Brighton Pier and the bars, cafes and shops of The Lanes. Apart from this, the hotel itself was just okay; the room was clean and the beds were comfortable enough but everything was just... More

Hotel was clean, cheap and very basic - we was on the top floor which was okay for us (until I had to carry my drunk husband up the several narrow staircases) quiet and a short walk to any of the attractions - no parking, no breakfast facilities and no wi-fi. Tea & coffee in the room plus a TV,... More

The intercom/bell on arrival did not work so you have to telephone from your mobile to gain entry / attention. Not very welcoming. There is no "reception". I was welcomed by the lady and given my key as it was a prepaid. Went to the single room 3rd floor. Room was compact as it is a converted Victorian Town House.... More

I knew it was only 2 stars, But even if beds were ok and clean, so is everything dirty, Worn out and shabby. No breakfast included, noisy- since Windows could not be shut properly. ...We were glad it was only for one night. Stay at marina at the other side of the street instead. The owner was attentive and helpful... More

If you want basic, cheap, and clean this is the place, near to beach and town, ten minutes walk to pier, landlady helpful and polite, would stay again, does not do breakfast but plenty of cafes near by.
