I booked two colleagues into the static caravan for a work trip last month as I thought it would give them more space and freedom than a hotel room. However they had two miserable nights there as it was so cold plus the TV didn't work properly and they said it generally wasn't nice. I complained about this after the... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and chose the hotel due to the prices and the fact that it has free parking which is rare in and around Brighton. You can stay in some fabulous hotels in Brighton but you pay through the nose for the privilege and probably wont get the great service you get here...also parking in town... More

The décor was a bit tired and the tv did not work but the place was clean and the breakfast was good, the room was a little cold and seemed no way of adjusting the temperature. but overall ok and an atmosphere in the pub.

The people at The Downs were really nice and friendly. As a pub the prices were decent, which was good as we went for a night out in Brighton with some friends. Price wise was very good considering its location and the inclusion of the Breakfast, which itself was really nice. However the hall was was a bit smelly, the... More

this hotel has been my temporary home for two weeks; all staff great and cannot do enough for its customers. this attitude has prevailed top down throughout the management and staff, with no exceptions - I cannot name them all; they know who they are. food excellent and extensive selection of wines. popular with racing fraternity, and links with local... Don't be put off by Lisa from Ashford, this is a very unfair review! My wife and I stayed here for two nights, over the Easter weekend, and were more than satisfied. When we arrived, the gentleman behind the bar was very helpful when he booked us in, even carrying our bag up to our room! which I didn't expect.... More

We were visiting family near to the downs and we needed somewhere to stay. The downs had a four poster room with extra beds for the kids. The view to the sea was lovely and the antique furntiure fitted in with the oldy worldy style of the building itself. If your looking for young and trendy look somewhere else, this... More

Old building with a lovely four poster room. Parking and breakfast included (parking at a premium in bton centre, could cost £20 extra on your stay!) On easy bus route into town. AMAZING breakfast! Friendly staff. Compared to other hotels/ B&Bs in brighton they r about average. The views down to rottingdean were lovely.
