Friendly staff, great kitchen (open all hours) and nice rooms. We arrived late on Friday (train arrived 20 minutes later than scheduled) but Kevin was friendly and got us settled in. He showed us the kitchen etc - even asked if we had a preference for milk! We stayed in a 4 bunk room and our friends had a double... More

Clean, cheap, newly refurbished, and the staff is very friendly. If you think you can't do hostels and sleep with several other people anymore, but you still want to spend less than £50 per night on weekends, this is the right place for you: a twin room is £40 per person. They have a two night minimum policy but if... More

Two friends and I stayed here in July for 2 nights. We were given a room upgrade (bigger than what we paid for) could see the sea from the window! We checked in in the evening and had a problem with our key so we phoned the contact number and someone was with us within 10 minutes with an extra... More

Stayed here for 2 nights at start of July. Had a great experience and the manage Kevin was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Rooms were nice and beds comfortable with a good living room and very conventional kitchen with 2 nice wee alcoves to dine in. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Brighton.

Visiting Brighton after a few years away and stayed here....The kitchen was amazing! I could just use it whenever I wanted and so I made a roast dinner for me and a few of the other guests. I'm a pretty experienced traveler and I found this to be so unique.Other important bits were that the beds were comfortable and the... More

Highly recommend this place, from the moment I checked in Kevin the manager couldn't do enough for me. It was a pleasure to meet him and he worked so hard to ensure everyone was made to feel welcome and having a good stay. The place is clean with excellent facilities and the location is perfect. I'll be back for Pride.

The booking experience with Seadragon was great, they made arrangements to store our luggage personally and upon arrival they knew who I was and recalled the conversation. My friend and I did not experience any of the horror stories I am reading on here. The hostel was one of the cheapest options within the area and for this reason we... More

Me and three friends will be spending this coming Bank Holiday Weekend in Brighton and booked our 4-Bed room ages ago at the Seadragon. Yesterday, our friend who booked the room received an email from them telling us that the booking has been cancelled because they are redecorating!!! And this 5 days before our arrival. Spending the weekend during the... More

Only booked this for pride weekend so basically there was nothing in Brighton left but these guys need to take a leaf out of the Kiwi backpacker book as they do NOT know how to run a budget accommodation. For £40 a night firstly it's a dump. You can increase prices for busy wkend but in this case better your... More

The customer service for this hostel was great, however everything else compromised this. Bedding dirty, and blood (apologies for the detail) on the bed frame. Thankfully another bed was free. Either the carpets were tainted with smoke or smoke was somehow wafting through the floor into dorm. Carpets hoovered but old and dirty. Bathroom definitely not cleaned during stay (2... More
