My partner and I stayed at Seadragon Backpackers for the Saturday and Sunday night over the August Bank Holiday, and it was great.
We'd decided last minute to visit Brighton for the weekend, and I sent an enquiry to (the very friendly) Karen to see if they had any vacancies. She replied within about half an hour, then called me in the evening to confim availability. Brilliant, speedy service.
The hostel itself has everything you need: good rooms, a clean bathroom, and a nice communal area with beanbags to sit in and read or watch one of the many classic videos.
There's also a kitchen with food such as cereal, milk, and pasta free for gusts. It's spacious and, though we didn't use it, looked great.
The location of Seadragon Backpackers is pretty ideal. It's only about five minutes from the seafront, twenty from the pier.
