We have just spent the weekend at Guest and the City in Brighton, the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. Chris was just the best host and made us all feel so at home. His breakfasts were second to none, and his knowledge on the best bars and places to go was outstanding. The decor is beautiful... more

A superb stylish guest house in a perfect position a minute away from the pier in one direction and the bustle of St James Street in the other. The owner takes real pride in the place and runs it perfectly. The rooms are spotless and breakfast is spot on - Highly Recommended Fantastic! more

Our stay here was very pleasant indeed. The location was very near to the Pier and all of the shops and reatuarants. Chris you were very welcoming and very helpful in telling us where everything in Brighton was located. The room was always clean, and was very modern in taste, just to our liking. The smell of the breakfasts you... more

The Guest House is close to the centre in the heart of Brighton. Chris takes real pride in his hotel and has an eye for interiors. If you want to get away from "chain hotels" this must be an option. It is not cheap but you get what you pay for. We loved it and will be back as it... more

This guest house is something special inside and out. There is permit parking available which is a plus in Brighton and the positon of the house is fab as its pretty much within walking distance of all the main attractions available to enjoy. All the rooms were decorated to a very high standard and the house itself was spotless with... more

Worried about where to park my pick-up I called ahead to check where the nearest car park was. No problem said Chris, the owner, I'll move my car from its space in the next street and you can park there. He even supplied the permits. It's little touches like these that make this guesthouse special. It's a tiny Victorian house,... more

I recently stayed at the Guest and the City with colleagues as we were down for the Labour conference. Chris at the B&B was absolutely wonderful - he provided a warm friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble for him. The breakfasts were amazing with plenty of choice from traditional fry up to fruit and pastries. The rooms were... more

It's the attention to detail that makes Guest and the City so wonderful, as well as the lovely warm welcome from Chris. I instantly felt at home there and loved my room. Although I booked the single room it had a (very comfy) double bed in which I was very pleased about! There really is everything you could need, it's... more

Chris is the proud owner of an excellent B & B in the perfect location. We have just returned from a three night stay and found the whole experience to be amazing, Chris is so helpful and knowledgeable about the area suggesting great restaurants to eat in and places to visit. The rooms were not only modern and trendy but... more
