This was our 5th visit to guest and the city, once again was not disappointed , clean, warm & freindly. I came down for the bank holiday Mod weekender, perfectly situated , 5 min walk to all the activities , bars, scooters & music. Great atmosphere at breakfast with other guest sharing the same interest in the weekend, Dan & Mika... More

Lovely boutique b & b that ticks all the right boxes, perfectly situated. The hospitality we received from Dan & Mika was second to none and were also very helpful about places to visit as this was our first visit to Brighton. We will definitely be coming back to Brighton and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

Fantastic hotel: Dan was amazing and very helpful. Room was comfy and comes with iPod docking station, water, sweets, hair-dryer and plenty of hangers. Room was clean, stylish and funky. Bed was comfortable (hard but not too hard) with good quality bedding. Wet room was great with nice hot shower and lots of Pecksniff's toiletries (local Brighton company). Parking was... More

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and our overall opinion can be summed up in one word: excellent. Very welcoming hosts. Lovely rooms. Very clean. Great breakfast. Central position. There is nothing more I can really say. Highly recommended for all. Thank you for a great stay.

From start to finish - The welcome and admirable hospitality by Dan and Mardi and the support to help you with your plans for Brighton. Very comfortable rooms 11/10 clean and very well kitted out. Breakfast was spot on - I chose a vegetarian option. Lovely clean / yet quirky environment which made our stay very memorable. Hats off to... More

Lovely B&B, nice and clean with excellent breakfast. We booked the mini double as it was the last room available and yes it was very small but comfy and cosy and fine for a few days in Brighton. Location couldn't have been better with access to everything. Will definitely stay again.

Just come back from a great weekend in Brighton and stayed in this brilliant B&B. Dan who runs the place is a great owner and made our stay very welcome. The breakfast is very good and filling, cooked by Dan and sausages especially were fantastic. The location is brilliant as its a stone throw away from Brighton Pier and when... More

A small, boutique of a B&B oozing charm and sophistication is what The Guest and the city is about. Dan, Mardi and Sonny are a lovely family with the fantastic assistance of Mika. Just a stones throw away from all the 'must see places', Guest and the City is one of the best guest houses we have stayed in. Dan... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Guest and the City is a boutique Guesthouse that reflects all that we love about Brighton. With seven private bedrooms, situated in the heart of Kemptown, minutes from the centre of Brighton, 30 seconds from the beach and opposite the famous Palace Pier, it’s the perfect location to explore Brighton for Business or pleasure. We want our guesthouse to reflect everything we like about staying in Brighton. Guest in the City therefore takes the best bits of a traditional B&B – a relaxed, friendly service, a central location and of course a top-notch breakfast with locally sourced ingredients – and puts them in modern, high-spec surroundings. The result is a boutique feel without luxury prices. To us, that’s what Brighton is all about – finding new things that surprise you and make you smile. ... more   less
