Awesome location and had a great view of the sea and pier but apart from that it was pretty poor. I stay in alot of hostels and I dont expect the ritz but for these guys to charge hotel prices for what is probably the worst hostel I have stayed in is pretty bad. My mate says the ones he... More

My friend and I had a birthday thing to go to in Brighton. We thought we would save some money and book a room at the Grapevine. Don't do it. It is disgusting. Our first room- the door could be pushed open while on its lock- really safe! The receptionist was lovely and moved us into another room.. she took... More

Loved the location here, right on the famous Brighton Waterfront. Of the room on the first floor above the bar/restaurant I was not impressed. Stayed in summer last year and suffered with the noise from below, well into the wee hours and by then it was time to get up! The six bunk room it self was clean and comfortable and... More

We booked to stay in Brighton for a Birthday and didn't want to spend to much on accommodation as we would be out most of the time. We came across the Grapevine on Hostelbookers and paid £35 per person on a friday and sat night. We read the reviews on TripAdvisor after we had booked and was slightly worried. When... More

Very nice and clean hostel with helpful staff. They provide a weekly rate and a box in the kitchen for long term stays. They often hold events like Fajitas night and they serve a free Sunday Roast. Good Wi-Fi signal. We met some very interesting people during hour stay there.

Despite being close to The Lanes, Brighton Pier and the City Centre, the hostel surrounding is quite sketchy and home to a few pubs/bars/clubs. It gets really noisy at night till around 1-2 am and it's fine after. The room was crowded with bed bunks and you can barely move around properly inside, what more with your luggage (if you... More

The room could have been cleaner and our beds were squeeky and made a lot of noise when we moved. Over all it was a great place to stay, so close to The Lanes, shopping center, shopping streets, great restaurants and bars
