After reading the reviews we were apprehensive to say the least, but we figured a few nights can't be that bad. And it wasn't. The "reception" area and layout are definitely sketchy. We had to walk around to a different entrance to get to our rooms, which meant no WiFi access. The stairways smelled and were cramped. However, the actual... More

My friend and I were attending an event in Brighton and needed a cost-effective place to spend the night. Seafront hotels were out of the question so we considered hostels. I made our reservations through hostelbooker.com. The customer service was deplorable. Be careful if you need to check out early: reception doesn't open till 9 AM. We got lucky that... More

This hostel is never going to get great reviews, but look: if you need a place to put 9 blokes on a Saturday night after a stag do, then give them a ring. They were willing to negotiate on price and yep, the room we got was a bit dodge, but we just passed out and bailed next morning to... More

me and 3 friends stayed here over the weekend and paid £20 pp per night which was a reasonable and the cheapest price in Brighton. Of course you expect nothing great for what we paid and honestly for our age group and for the reasons we were down there, we couldn't ask for anything more then what we got! we... More

Seriously overpriced. Staff wouldn't take multiple transactions for a group as they couldn't be bothered - in their own words. The room was disgusting, most of the ceiling was covered in mould, the beds still had left over wet wipes on them from previous guests cleaning their faces. The floor was filthy, the bathroom was torture, and all for £30... More

Some things in life should never have a chance to exist. This hostel is one of them. After seeing my mother’s face after she checked in I knew it would be bad. She said it was really bad. My sister said it was terrible, but I could never imagine it would actually be THIS BAD?! By far the worst accommodation... More

Gobsmacked that somewhere like this could even exist. Where to start.. Those photos on the website? Not real. You won't be getting a nice room overlooking the beach. The hostel is slotted between two cafes. You walk in and might as well just die there and then. I imagine this is what walking through a prison would feel like. Dank,... More

Mould, dripping water, stains everywhere, filthy dump. Whole building should be gutted and refurbished or pulled down. It wasn't even cheap either. Ok it is a hostel and you will never get hotel standards but this is unreal

Ideal if you want to sleep like if you were in a disco (is just the same wall), and also perfect if you want to share the room with drug sellers. People going in and out all night shouting. Bathroom without hot water. Very nice, yep.

the hostel was much better than the reviews had me believe, this was my first time staying in a hostel and although the rooms were very small and there was quite a queue for the shower in the morning i thought overall it was ok. The woman on reception was very off putting, she swore constantly and was generally quite... More
