Dear Boxer72, Thank you for your stay with us and for your time in writing your review. We have a helpdesk on the ground floor before our guest lounge for assistance, as the guesthouse is manned 24 hours. You stayed in our cosy double room, one of our standard double rooms with a size of 9 m² as described on... More

Lovely stay. Brilliant location not far from the pier. Lovely room very stylish only a couple of draw backs. The blinds in the room didn't block out the light so found it difficult to sleep and the washroom pretty much drenched everything within sight. Otherwise a very tasty breakfast, a very warm welcome and the staff seemed very friendly and... More

Alarm bells rang when Mum and I arrived and were casually told that we wouldn't get access to our room until 4:00PM, despite the advertised check-in time of 3:00PM. No apology was offered, we weren't told we could come back at 3:00PM and have tea/coffee in the guest lounge (the hotel has one) while we waited for the room to... More

Dear Amesmc Thank you for staying with us and I'm very sorry your stay fell short of your expectations. Check-in is indeed at 3pm and we try very hard to turn the rooms around by this deadline, but on rare occasions this is not always possible and I'm sorry you and your mother were inconvenienced by this. In fact, in... More

Fab four poster bed with sea view. A warm welcome. The room was beautifully decorated and filled with everything you could want or need. Thick fresh towels, robes and slippers. Any toiletries you may need. Selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolates. . . . Even home made cookies and complementary port! The bed was massive and comfy. . .... More

I stayed at the Kemp Townhouse for 3 nights as a long weekend stay. I'm new to staying in B+B's having stayed at a few hotels and found them a little sterile, it was nice to find somewhere with a bit of character. The insides on the whole were well presented and clean, with the art appropriately nautical. Maybe I... More

Nothing is wrong with this hotel. If we had booked it as a B&B we would probably have been positively surprised by its style and efficient service. For our stay in Brighton we had started out looking at the grand old hotels facing the sea, but since we couldn’t get a room with a balcony, we decided to go for... More

Dear Luxotraveller Thank you for staying with us and I'm very sorry we fell short of your expectations. We are rated as a five star guest house, not a boutique hotel, and we go to great lengths to try and make this clear on our website, even including links to the Visit Britain website (the organisation which issues the ratings).... Ok.. My reviews are always honest. This hotel has many accreditations and it's spotless and the food is acceptable but overall... Had a king room... Very small, the bathroom is minuscule and the aspect of it having a shower even less so. Wardrobe - you'd struggle with more than two of three items. It was roasting hot in the room... More

Location on a narrow street with noisy neighbours and no sea view. Fit out was very cheap and already looking very tired. Food at breakfast was okay - but not what it should have been given the prices - especially the coffee.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review for your last visit. The hotel is located on a quiet street as suppose to the main seafront, therefore we are a lot quieter than most seafront based hotels. All of our interior fittings are of very high standard and not cheap, with high quality dark brown glossy oak finish... More

My husband and I spent one night at this lovely guest house in July 2014. We stayed in a comfy king room, which had everything we needed, very clean, with a great shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast in bed was a bonus, and the food was delicious with a good selection including pancakes. Little details such as a decanter of... More
