Not unlike other grade 2 listed buildings this hotel needs some attention. Minor decorative repairs aside, the staff were welcoming, the room (no15) is spacious with more than adequate en suite. Breakfast was a little disappointing with only continental on offer but you are offered cooked at a local hotel. No parking! !!!! The only real downside. £20 a day... More

This hotel is in a grade two listed building and is full of ornate plasterwork . Our room was small but fully functional ,the towels laid on the bed with toiletries was a nice touch . The shower had a proper screen that kept the floor dry ,take note other hotel chains ,no paddling out of the bathroom or sacrificing... More

Never a good sign when the taxi driver drops you off with a smile and wishes you good luck. Inside, our "family room" was in the basement with a view of a wall. It was like a grotty youth hostel, but with no one staying there. We turned around and left and they refused to refund any money (even though... More

I must admit after reading the reviews on here I was steeling myself for a stay at the Bates Motel. However upon arrival I was greeted by a pleasant man (in jeans, the horror!) who quickly checked us in, handed over the keys and sent us on our way with a smile. Our room was in the basement, there was... More

The hotel exterior and entrance way is lovely. The rooms were clean and it was quiet at night. However, the rooms are very small - it made our stay uncomfortable. There wasn't even a wardrobe in the room just a couple of hangers on some coat hooks. The ensuite was also very compact, the power of shower was weak..took quite... More

Stayed one night. Location is excellent, very close to all major attractions and there is an underground car park right on the square. Quite cheap to park overnight if you arrive after 6pm. Hotel is basic and a little jaded but was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast could do with some croissants adding but there was plenty of bread/toast,... More

Me and my partner booked to stay here because it's just off the sea front, only 5 minute walk to the centre and it was the best 2 star for ratings on here... Overall our stay was pleasant. We stayed in the superior double room with ensuite which was just a basic room, nothing special but done the trick. We... More

Stayed one night with a couple of friends, we we given a room on the third floor, no lift this seemed a bit of a hike. The room was plenty large enough with toilet & shower, every thing was basic but it is a budget hotel, we skipped the continental breakfast and purchased a 'special price' voucher for a full... Arrived at 6pm, greeted and told where our 'superior' room was, dodgy lock on door, had to wiggle key but no major problem. Not sure what made it superior as very dated and shabby. However bedding was spotless , towels smelt nice and fresh and were clean. Tea and coffee and biscuits in room, however, I made a coffee and... More

Last few years I've stayed in many hotels in Brighton. From expensive ones to very cheap ones. The Queensbury is one of my favorite budget-hotels. It is situated just about 50 meters from the Brighton seafront, Close to the West Pier, and the future I360. With 19 rooms it isn't the biggest hotel, but you can choose from different types...
