Not really central, near the old pier, they say sea view which is a complete lie , none of the rooms have a sea view, we had room 6, if they give you this don't take it, it's for 3 people, poor upkeep, double bed you sink to middle, single bed is so soft, you can feel the springs and... More

My husband and I booked a superior double room for a well deserved two night break here. The room was no way 'superior' but in fact very basic indeed. Poorly decorated! Curtains had seen better days with visible holes. The window blind was not adjustable so it was either fully up or fully down. The window was difficult to open.... More

shower didn't work, uncomfy bed, not cleaned to high standard, breakfast - not much choice, cereal toast, OJ, English offered but not looking good! Not much staff communication only on arrival and departure. Tatty, requires refurb....not recommended!!!!

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for a night as a short break as we had a Gig in town and decided to make the most of it. The hotel itself is located 2 minutes from the seafront and about 5 minutes from the High Street which lead to the cute side and back streets of Brighton. Sadly, location is... More

Hotel was abysmal, rooms are not really ensuite, you have a cupboard that claims to be a bathroom. Receptionists were rude (Magda in particular) and unhelpful, if they were actually around at all. Expensive for a complete dump. Go for airbnb instead. The sooner this hotel goes out of business the better.

This hotel is disgusting and filthy. The room above leaked and covered our things in dirty water and the owner refused to come and sort it and or give us a refund. We found a used pair underwear in bedroom drawer, thick dust, condensation on the windows damp abs draughty. Owner is appallingly rude and switched his phone off. Stay... More

We stayed here for two nights with our teenage son. The rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was fine, not a cooked breakfast but adequate. We did feel it was a little expensive for what they offer but going in August we thought we would have to pay more. The location was very near beach and easy walk to town... More

We were not expecting much from our short stay, just looking for a room to lay our heads however there were horrid stains on the sheet, obviously it had not been changed or the sheet needed to be thrown away. Either or it was disgusting. The rooms are basic, dated, the mattress very thin and hard. We had a awful,... More

Had one night in a good sized room for three people. Room was a bit tired and good do with redecoration. Hotel well situated close to the seafront and town centre. Breakfast was ok but limited in choice.

Great location, very friendly. Yes some of the decor is a bit tired but what do you expect from an old property. Lovely old shutters and other period features. Bed very comfortable, clean sheets, clean towels although a bit small. Tea, coffee making facilities and biscuits. Didn't sample breakfast but looked fine. Great for the price.
