So we booked the superior quad. A double and two singles. It was in the basement which was fine. The room was clean and tidy. Shower and toilet were fine. Towels and tea and coffee all fine. Wasn't too noisy. Continental breakfast was very nice. Overall a very basic nice hotel. Please remember a few things wifi was terrible, parking... More

I stayed here with family over the marathon weekend. We had a fully ensuite room, which was great for the 3 of us. The rooms are just what you need for a short break. It is also in a very good location, close to lanes and the pier.

The room I had booked was a "triple room with sea view" it was on the very top floor, no elevators. The room was drafty, so when the wind blew, the bathroom door swung open and shut. I barely slept. My husband slept fine. These are simply the facts. The breakfast was quite nice. If on budget, book a room... More

The rooms are small and basic, shower was useless, toilet system was so noisy, cheap , loads of stairs t walk up to the rooms The owners must install better showers, this would make a big difference, also replace light curtains as they don't block out the light Service was ok but staff didn't explain details of wifi , which... The hotel was simple, clean and the room was located at the top so lots of stairs to climb. Bed was very poor, springs sticking out. Although the hotel seems to have been refurbished recently, poorly laid out rooms, bathroom was small, shower and hot water supply was almost impossible to get and maintain the correct temperature, TV in the... This hotel does a good job for just one night, I imagine any longer and it wouldn't. The room we stayed in did have a shower in the room but it didn't have any form of segregation from the room! Which wasn't very good considering I was staying with a friend. The toilet is down the other end of the... More

Very clean, staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple, but good bread, fruits, coffees and juice. You can park your car at underground NCP, £20 a day, secure and just leave there. Wondering whole day, eating, drinking in diversified culture - Brighton and Hove. If you do shopping, fill in the car, and go back to the hotel... More

This is a budget hotel, albeit in a very good location. I can't fault the cleanliness or the staff. Bedding is pretty average and while I appreciate that the place is good value, I'm sure they could afford slightly warmer and more comfortable bedding. Breakfast was fine, with a reasonable buffet laid out in a grand front room.

Not unlike other grade 2 listed buildings this hotel needs some attention. Minor decorative repairs aside, the staff were welcoming, the room (no15) is spacious with more than adequate en suite. Breakfast was a little disappointing with only continental on offer but you are offered cooked at a local hotel. No parking! !!!! The only real downside. £20 a day... More
