We stayed for 3 nights during the Great Escape festival and can't fault this place. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, helped us with directions to venues and also gave us some recommendations for restaurants in Brighton. The hotel itself is in a great location and we also had a great view of Brighton pier (room 206). It's rooms are... more

My partner and I went to Brighton for the May bank holiday weekend and our time there was a lot more enjoyable because of the great hotel we stayed at. The hotel has a lot of traditional features but still with a modern touch, staff were very helpful and the breakfast was great! The bar also offers great cocktails. The... more

Constructive criticism for this hotel would be relax about time. We arrived at 9.40pm, "sorry the restaurant closes at 9.30pm" OK we'll take our money elsewhere. The next evening a party came into the bar at 12 midnight, "sorry we are closed" time one minute past 12. Apart from that, it's a lovely hotel, great location, friendly staff and not... more

My husband and I booked a overnight stay at the Royal York as a birthday treat. We were visiting the hotel to use their karoake booths (which I can HIGHLY recommend - lots of fun) and thought we'd treat ourselves to a night at the hotel too. On arrival we were quickly checked in by a very polite gentleman on... more

Just got back from a wonderfull stay at the Royal York, booked it for my husband's birthday. The hotel has a grand feel about it but still felt intimate and romantic. Large dinning room with feature fireplace, high ceilings with beautifull chandeliers. We were allowed to check in early which was good. We were given a lovely room over looking... more

We stayed here for 3 nights April 21-24.. Reading the reviews our expectations were high. The hotel was offering a midweek special £79 b&b. The price made this an unbeatable value. The hotel will be a Radisson in a couple of weeks. The room was large. We had one in the back with a sea view. The noise was not... more

We stayed for 3 nights over the easter weekend, room very clean, but incredibly hot! View of Brighton Pier, but there is a bus station right outside. Not really a huge problem though. Staff all helpful and friendly and great location. more
