My partner and I stay here at least three times a year and are due a visit in may. We discovered it by chance a couple of years ago online and was won over by it's tranquility and back to nature vibe. Set in a secluded valley, down a 1/2 mile lane, it is the perfect escape from London and... More

We stayed for two nights on the site for the bank holiday weekend at the end of August as a last minute booking. Such a good find! The site feels remote in the bottom of the hills in a very quiet setting but very easy to reach the pubs and shops in the small local village. We came on the... More

Really well placed, the camping park is outside Alfriston village and is a gateway to the Downs, but only 5 minutes walk from the village shop if you need to buy marshmallows (we did) and other essential items like fresh bread or beer. We visited twice in the summer, weekends in June and July and enjoyed both visits. There was... More

We came here for a few nights and would of loved to stay longer. For people who just want to camp and do not expect 'luxury'!!! (as if one would but it seems to me that some people do) this site was just perfect. Hilly yes, but is that a problem? Seems to be for some. YOU ARE CAMPING. Sorry.... More

Camped here for 3 nights with family & friends, we had a great time. Showers & loos are very basic but kept immaculately clean. Friendly campers dotted around the field. Alfriston village is a short stroll & has a lovely tea room & a few oldie worldie pubs. Great place, will defiantly return.

This is a lovely easy going site, surrounded by woodland and at the base of some picturesque hills. Despite it being very busy, the toilets remained clean and stocked with toilet paper. The showers had hot water and there was even a tennis court on site. There was a friendly feel to the site and we enjoyed kicking a ball... More

It's hard not confuse a review of a campsite with a review of those you shared it with but I'll do my best. The site is essentially a long field surrounded by woodland with the far end reserved for larger groups (if you like avoiding large groups it's useful to know). The site is in a lovely setting in a... More

I'd come back to this camp site. It might pay to get there early to pitch on a flatter area (but I've known steeper camp sites with no flat areas at all) and to beat the weekend rush. It is very busy at the weekend and a bit of a free-for-all to grasp a pitch but I found the other... More

Alfriston is a lovely little village with several pubs and shops. The camp site is a short walk away and is set in a beautiful location between sweeping hills and woods. However, the facilities are poor. Done on the cheap and not serviced. In the shower I used there was not a single hook or bench, which made the whole... More

Wanted somewhere not too far from Brighton for just one night away. This place was perfect. A nice big field with toilets & water point at each side. A shower block me the tennis courts. Campfires allowed, drums provided as well as bag of wood to buy. Very friendly owner. Nice atmosphere. Would def recommend & visit again. 2 mind... More
