Our younger son's wedding reception was held here. The planning and attention to detail were second to none. The food was hot, well-presented and of very good quality. The service at the tables was very attentive. The venue is extremely attractive.

We visited The Star for dinner last week and had a really lovely evening. The hotel has old world charm and a friendly atmosphere. The staff were attentive and helpful and the food was of an impressively high standard. We especially enjoyed the desserts which were beautifully presented and delicious. We will certainly be returning soon.

we enjoyed our stay here. pros: tea, coffee and biscuits in room pub downstairs decent value for money clean cons: saggy beds enjoyed the food elsewhere in town however.
