My long overdue review of this terrific property... My wife and I stayed there for 2 nights back in October as we've enjoyed exploring areas of England that we haven't visited before. What a find! The owner-host Nick is a great innkeeper, who's happy to offer as little or as much advice as guests desire about things to do in... More

My partner and I stayed here for 1 night in December as a 50th birthday treat. From the moment we arrived we were so impressed by everyone and everything that we just cannot wait to re visit. The ambience is relaxed and very friendly. We had dinner and breakfast the following morning and it was all fabulous. The room (we... More

We stayed here on Saturday 21st November for the first time. Upon arrival we were upgraded to room no1 which was absolutely fantastic. It was lovely and clean and decorated and furnished to a high standard. It was also very warm throughout a very cold night. We ate in the restaurant that evening and the menu was perfect for both... This hotel is simply stunning, set in a beautiful location. From the moment myself and my girlfriend arrived, Nick and the rest of the staff were beyond helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are tastefully decorated with features and views. We reserved a table for both nights of our stay and were amazed by the food and service!... More

A delightful boutique hotel in the quaint village of Alfriston. Cosy with log fires and very welcoming staff. In fact on arrival we were offered free Cappuccino and home made biscuits! The room was spacious with plenty of cupboard space and a balcony with outside seating with overhead heater if needed. The bed was of good quality and comfortable and... More

The food here was incredible, it was easily the best we had had in a few years. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable and the staff friendly and prompt. There is plenty of parking too. It's not the cheapest of places to eat but is well worth it.

The four of us enjoyed a 4 course meal of the highest standard. This included bread with dipping oil & balsamic. 2 bottles of cold water. A bottle of wine. 4 excellent starters, 4 substantial and delicious mains courses and four exquisite desserts plus coffee - all for under £140. Can recommend the rabbit terrine to start and the venison... More

My wife and I spent one night at Wingrove. It was a lovely room, delicious local food and some of the nicest staff we've ever encountered. They even personally delivered a lost scarf back to our house. The area and village are also a nice part of the world. Wonderful!

Food was comparable to top London restaurant without the price. Amazing Chef and Maitre d, although clearly he was owner as well, made us feel very welcome. Three courses perfectly prepared and presented at a reasonable price, will be recommending to all and sundry when in area, and will be going back.

Having been to the wingrove lots of times we decided to pop in for an unplanned sunday lunch. The service is very relaxed and you start to feel like you never want to leave. The menu is in my opinion is amazing value costing £29.00 for three course lunch and tea or coffee included. I had parsnip soup which i... More
