We came here for our Mini moon straight after our wedding on Sunday 24th August and got home today. I felt the need to write a review immediately because my husband and I were so impressed with this place. We enjoyed a relaxing 2 nights here. As it was raining heavily when we arrived we decided to relax in the... More

We visited Wingrove House a couple of years ago and enjoyed the accommodation and food so much, decided to return for a two night break. Once again Nick was there to greet us and we felt like we were coming home. As the August Bank holiday was wet and cold there was a roaring fire in the lounge with all... More

This was our second visit to The Wingrove. Previously we had stayed over and the experience was brilliant. The food is second to none, the breakfast spread was amazing! The staff are very friendly and make you feel at home straight away. We went for dinner this time, the service was brilliant again and the food was perfect. 10/10!

Wingrove House is conveniently located for Glyndebourne and this is the 3rd time we have booked in here. It is as good and quirky as ever. Alfriston is a wonderful village and there is so much to see around this part of East Sussex. Try a walk across the water meadows to the pub in the next village on a... More

Stayed one night on way though walking South Downs Way and didn't eat in the hotel, although it looked good. Room was lovely, hotel was excellent and staff were very polite and friendly. Breakfast was superb.

Dined here last night for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. From the staff to the fine quality of the meal everything was superb. One small consideration would be to either change the tables for four outside or at least cover them with a table cloth to make them fit in with the beautiful decor and high quality fittings.... Says it all really, the staff were friendly and very easy on the eye, the food was perfect. Best steak I have eaten in a long time. Desert was also amazing. I sat by the window and have a lovely view out towards the church which was delightful, had it not rained we were going to have some nibbles on... More

It's hard to describe the Wingrove House restaurant with rooms, one runs out of superlatives. My wife Janet and I visited for her birthday, what a great choice, it's such a lovely calm and peaceful place to spend time - and, luckily for us, the weather was lovely so we could make the best of the terrace for afternoon reading,... My wife and I visited the hotel on our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. There was a very friendly reception from Nick the owner. The room was very well appointed, clean and had its’ own balcony. There was good wifi and a limited mobile reception in the area. To counter this the telephone was free. There was amply parking...
