Just returned from this great place, we loved it so much we have booked our next stay in a few weeks time. We stayed in one of the barns after reading all the positive reviews on TA, our barn had 2 bedrooms and we could bring our dog. The barn had everything we needed and more. The layout was excellent,... More

Comfortable historic pub. Friendly staff, reasonably priced food with fairly extensive menu. Good range of local real ales. Stayed in barn conversion on pub site. Fairly comfortable but kitchen poorly equipped with dirty cooking utensils. Cooking facilities fairly basic (only two cooking rings, the type which you find abroad). Bedrooms fairly comfortable. Busy road outside but traffic noise minimal

I stayed here with my 3 year old daughter. Overall I could not fault the cleanliness or the service from the staff. The rooms were clean, equipped with tv, tea/coffee, hairdryer, ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was partly self-service and did not wait to be served. The pub was very cosy and friendly. The only fault I had was that the walls... More

Arrived and on first impressions all seemed fine. However on closer inspection of the room, the TV would not tune in, (and remained the same for the duration) then we found cob-webs complete with spiders, (well pets are nice!). Evening meal very average, but OK, (would have been much better if chef had adhered to 'medium rare' - all my... More

Bit shocked about the outside of the building after reading previous reviews. Room small but clean, bed very uncomfortable and noisy each time we turned over. Noises from next doors bathroom made us think they were in the room with us using the shower/toilet. Noise from road and kitchen meant no sleep whatsoever. Good meal in the restaurant and the... For a lark, I headed off to this part of the UK (Norfolk) and I picked the Swan Inn randomly from the web. It was one of those lucky picks where the room is fine, the staff is very friendly and the food is decicious. It is on a rather busy road but the noise is not really a problem.... More
