So we chose this over the adjacent Toms Field after reading trip advisor reviews. We arrived at the field late afternoon to be met by a sign with tiny writing instructing us to pitch up and pay in the morning. It is one big field on a slope with lots of flat sections in between mounds which creates a natural... More

On a clear day this place has a fantastic view over swanage and out to the Isle of Wight. I like the fact that there aren't set pitches - just turn up and find a space. The toilet block is basic but gets the job done, and is cleaned at least twice a day. Its a shame that some of... More

Very friendly and laidback. Facilities clean. There's a good walk from the site to the Dancing Ledge cliff. Great for family groups who don't need any hand holding. We arrived mid afternoon on a Friday and managed to find 2 flat pitches. Thank you.

We went on a first time camping holiday to Acton Field and was pleasantly surprised, we have a 15 year old girl and a 9 year old boy they loved every minute of it. The shower/toilet block were kept very clean 2 a day the owners were very helpful. Loved the price even better and we loved the honk honk... More

We stayed here a few weeks by default as Tom's Field down the road was full. We arrived fairly late and set up virtually in the dark. When we awoke the next morning and opened the tent door...we were very pleasantly surprised. The views over Swanage Bay are amazing and can even see as far a the Isle of Wight... More

Lovely campsite with cracking views to Swanage and The Isle Of Wight. Very basic showers and wash up area but more than adequate. Lovely hilly undulating site which gives great options for getting your own little area sorted. 15 minute walk to local shop and pub and 30 minute walk to the finest pun in the land The Square and... This was our first visit to Acton field campsite, I can honestly say that I loved it! Very laid back owners with super cheap rates. Magnificent views over the jurassic coast and Isle of Wight. On site facilities are basic but well looked after. We'll definitely be coming back.

I have been to this site for years with my family. I love it! The view on a sunny morning of the Isle of Wight and Swanage bay is beautiful. It's restful- sheep bleating, steam train whistling, amazing sunsets and starlight. Noise of happy kids playing out and smells of bbqs and bacon. I have been in tents, trailer tent... More

Don't expect bells and whistles, why would you when you camping?! This campsite is perfectly adequate, it easy going, well run and the owners are really nice. It's cheap and you get what you pay for, people leaving negative review for a £12 a night campsite, need to be ignored. Great views, and a great place to chill out with... More

This was my second time at this site, the first time was a few years ago. Its easy to find, good facilities and cheap. Great views, you can find a flat bit of ground if you look. I really dont expect anymore for the money. My only problems with this campsite is the noise. Yesterday (Saturday night), there were several... More
