Spent two long nights here. Room was dirty, bathroom dirty, toilet seat broken, shower trickled out, noisy till four in the morning.. We asked to move rooms but they said they were fully booked but still advertised rooms available. Had to buy ear plugs so we could sleep. Breakfast was ok, dirty floors, tables. A good clean throughout needed. I... More

There were a few unfortunate events. Room very basic & very small. Booked in for 3 nights, but checked out after two - that was enough. Thunder storms tripped some of the electric ie sockets in some rooms - so hot, so couldn't use the fan that they very kindly supplied, so staff moved us to another room. Apparently the... More

We have stayed 3 times now and would stay again. We always seem to have the same room which overlooks the garden and car park which is quiet. We wouldn't stay at the weekend as we are ' getting on a bit ' and not sure if we could cope with the live music but we like the friendly staff,... More

This place is in such a lovely location yet I was slightly disappointed when I stayed here. Perhaps it was because we stayed between Christmas and New Year and everywhere seems a little deflated. To enter the property there are 3 doors, 2 at the front and 1 at the side - the 2 at the front were blocked by... More

Not in this pub. A mid afternoon visit for a Dorset cider and disappointed to see all the usual bottled fare of Magners and Koppaberg. Opted for a local ale instead. A pint of Piddle was a good brew. Had to run the gauntlet of the smoking clients to gain entry to the pub too

Visited on a short stay in Swanage, a little cramped in the bar area, complete with all the locals and there dogs!. Food was a little overpriced for the quality, but OK. Serving staff not very familiar with the menu contents, very average all round.

When we visited the White Swan at lunchtime it was very busy. The interior was not too bad at all with a modern part at the far end of the pub. The service was OK but the food was overpriced. It was very ordinary all round.

This pub would be fine if it weren't spoiled by the awful bar staff. We only came in here for lunch during the folk festival- dorset has been very friendly apart from the rude reception in this pub! The food is Ok if a bit pricey and the Piddle beer good- the atmosphree would be greatly improved with some customer... More

Stayed 2 nights B&B here and - for the price - it was OK but nothing more. The White Swan is right in the middle of Swanage and there is limited parking up the hill at the back of the property. Our room was small with old-fashioned divan beds but the bathroom was well-equipped. The pub itself is very busy... More
