Myself and three friends from Sutton Coldfield visted here on the wettest day of the year so far (28/4/12) on our three day golfing trip around Swanage area. Can definitely recommend the Palmers Copper Ale and the fabulous home made Steak & Kidney pudding (though not before a round of golf)!!! Landlady very pleasant and helpful and just ask her... More

Six of us stayed here on the May Bank Holiday Weekend. The rooms were clean, airy, warm with lots of towels, tea, coffee etc. We were made very welcome. We particularly liked the fact that we could adjust the heating, either on/off or as required. The breakfast area was also clean, airy with good foods, lots of it, papers and... More

We booked accommodation at the last minute but were made to feel welcome on our 1st visit to Swanage. Very popular traditional pub, lots of atmosphere. Took our dog which everyone fussed and was allowed inside. Located on the High Street handy for the whole town. Rooms are in out building behind the pub and have allocated parking. Our room... More

We were at the end of a long day and this was the first rooms we could find easily, the room looked ok but their is a green "safety light" in the middle which illuminated the room all night. I have only seen these in corridors before and for good reason. The food was well cooked but the presentation was... More

Lovely clean, well equipped room (including a cot). Excellent breakfasts cooked to order. Fabulous range of ciders. Good food but again on the expensive side. Friendly staff knew who we were when we checked in. We got a 10% discount for staying 4 days! Fabulous location in centre of Swanage, just minutes from beach. Good parking. This is a very... More

The room was big and spacious, although a bit dark .You will hear noise but it`s part of a pub so to be expected, the tv in the room is tiny, the shower quality is decent, the room was serviced very well for three days and then it felt like someone must have been in a hurry on the fourth ? the pub... This is a great little pub with quiet clean spacious accomodation set back in a quiet area away from the pub and high st. The landlady, bar and breakfast staff are fantastic hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Booking again for next year. More

I really liked this little B&B. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The location fantastic. My only recommendation would be to redecorate the breakfast room. It was very utilitarian and resembled a small cafateria from my school days. Otherwise a charming place and it will be where I stay for all of my future trips to Swanage. You can't... More

On arrival showed to our room by a very friendly member of staff. Room was very spacious and clean, we stayed in a twin. Towles and bedding provided was a good standard. Breakfast in the morning was plentyful and piping hot. Only stayed the one night but would go back in a shot. Also one of the rare B&B's in... More

We had seen this pub on a previous visit. We looked it up on the internet, found everyone full of praise and decided to try it. It was not too easy to find dates when they could accommodate us, but it was worth it. Even booking was a good experience and came with a promise to "fix the weather", which... More
