Another wonderful stay, our family room was great, with two separate rooms in one, so we and our son have some privacy. Food, well what can I say, this is why we come back twice a year as we enjoy the food so much. The staff turnover is very low, so it is good to see the people we recognise... More

This Hotel is set in one of the most beautiful spot in Swanage. Although it is a little expensive for anyone like myself set on a 45 days trip around UK, at the end it proved to be worth. As I said nice setting good and comfortable rooms. Good Dinners and breakfast.

The Pines Hotel is rather 'old fashion' or 'classic English'. I consider it as 'flat' and 'highly predictable'. The menu of the restaurant is not inspiring at all. The breakfast is rather poor. Finally, we got the feeling that we paid 50% for the terrific view. But, keep in mind that you can easily enjoy that view if you take... More

As has been mentioned before this hotel is well maintained but in need of an update, it is handicapped in that regard by the period and style of the 60s looking . Lounge appears to have been done reasonably recently, our room was ok comfortable beds and all areas very clean, nicely served breakfast with good choices. Hotel appears to... More

We were visiting my husbands Aunts and Uncles in Swanage and took them out for Sunday Lunch. Originally we tried booking into the Grand Hotel but found out they only have a Carvery Sunday lunchtime - the Pines offers a 3 roast carvery and A La carte. Yes the restaurant feels dated and I didn't like our table as you... More

We have stated in many hotels around South England over past weeks and this is b y far the most expensive and the smallest room. We had a very small room but booked last minute so that was fine but it wasn't cheap! View from room was fantastic over the bay though. Main areas appear to have been updated in... More

Good location, comfortable rooms, pleasant staff and good food. Quiet location, lovely sea views and garden overlooking the sea. Large car park and good walks near by. Award winning restaurant with views out to sea over the bay Family owned for 30 Years. Dogs accepted at no charge.

We got to our chosen hotel in Swanage to be told " we didn't process your payment try The Pines next door." All they had was a twin room with a sea view, a little on the small side but clean and tidy albeit dated and in need of a repaint. We went for a long walk along the coast... More

The hotel has stunning views, it is a bit old and in need of a refurb. Breakfast good and old fashioned service welcomed. Staff in front desk excellent. Main issue was very thin stud walls meaning you can hear everything from Adjoining rooms. Bed was also standard double size with a poor quality mattress.if my partner moved it was like... More
