Stayed here 07/15 for a long weekend whilst hiking in the locality. I received a very warm and a genuine welcome from the owners from the beginning to the end of my stay - they couldn't have been more helpful. Room I stayed in was very clean and inviting and, to top it off, they offer an absolutely smashing and... More

Absolutely lovely stay at the warm and welcoming guest house. We stayed for two nights and loved every moment. The rooms are big, warm, welcoming and full of character. The breakfasts are delicious and the welcome you'll get is second to none. Location is perfect for the beach and lovely bars and its just a short pretty walk by the... More

Had a great few days here, lovely hosts, great breakfast, fab clean room with good space for the family and a 15 min walk to centre of Swanage. Ideally located for family pubs and beach as well. Would definitely use again when we return. Thanks

We visited the Danesfort for Saturday night. We had two families of four in our party and the owners put us up very well. The top floor family suite was 2 rooms and huge and the other double room with bunk beds was ideal. We had dinner at the Crows Nest pub at the bottom of the road which was... More

Stayed here for one night in February whilst walking the SW Coast Path from Poole. Very friendly hosts, room clean and warm and bed very comfortable. Good breakfast, and they didn't mind making us an early breakfast so we could get away promptly to resume our walk. Convenient location, just off main road, pub opposite for evening meal.

My wife and I stayed here in September for 2 nights we were so glad we found the danesfort guest house as it was a busy weekend in swanage and everywhere else was fully booked (luckily for us) Hilary and mark were excellent hosts and was ideally situated right near the sea front. Nine of us Wrinkly Walkers stayed here for a week last week 8th-12th September. The welcome on arrival was very pleasing which made us feel very assured that this was the right place to be. The room were very clean and comfortable, all with en-suite. The descriptions of the rooms are totally accurate. Breakfast time was a highlight with so... More

We stayed here for a week in August and had a fantastic time. I had a 4 year old and a 10 month old and they catered for our needs wonderfully. The food was lovely and they let us go in first for breakfast because it was the baby's breaksfast time. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable and the... More

We booked very last minute and we're able to get a reservation due to a cancellation. My wife, my child and I stayed in the family room. We were pleased with our stay and the hospitality shown by the owners was first class. They were very good with our little one, even making soft boiled eggs and soldiers for him.... More

I stayed on my own with my two kids for 3 nights. Warm welcome and brilliant room which was the suite at the top. Two bedrooms with a lounge area so plenty of room to relax with two kids (usual freeview so kids channels). Honesty bar was a bonus and used this a few times and very reasonable. Excellent location,... More
